Hi guys, today I made a crochet flower bookmark. I saw a crochet bookmark from someone on Hive, and I loved the bookmark she made. I think it was so cute and also very handy for all the book lovers, so I decided to make one for myself. (Slowly entering my bookworm era 🥰 thanks to @beeeee 😊)
I love the colors I used especially, and I loved how it turned out at the end.
It's a very simple pattern, so it didn't take much of my time to make. The materials I used are just the basic crochet Item, so I hope you do get to try it out. Without further ado, let's jump right into the process.
Materials
Yarn(white,yellow,green)
Hook 3.5
Cotton wool for stuffing
Scissors
How to make the flower
Row 1
Make a magic ring with your yellow yarn, 6sc into the ring, and join together*
Row 2
6× inc( 12sc).
Row 3
1sc then inc. Repeat this pattern
Row 4
2sc then inc. repeat this pattern.
Now repeat this pattern with your white yarn.
Step 2
Join the white and yellow pieces together and chain two on the next st 4dc, ch 2, then SL St in the next stitch.
Repeat this pattern 10 more times. Before joining both ends together, stuff with cotton wool then join together. Secure tightly and cut off your yarn.
Step 3
To make the leaf, chain 17 with green yarn
Skip 2 chains, and from the 3rd chain, start 10 Hdc, then 3hdc,2sc,1hdc, and then SL St.
Repeat this pattern on the other side of the chain, but this time, do it backward.
( Start from Sl st, 1hdc then continue)
Once you're done, chain 70 or more, depending on how long you want it to be, then Attach it to your flower, secure it tightly, and cut off your yarn.
Voila your crochet bookmark is ready 😊
