I've been writing exams since the day I was born and I've had to study hard for each one of them. Despite the hard work I put into studying, I still don't come out 1st place and that is usually disappointing.
Oh my gosh, did I just expose that about myself hahaha.
So when I came across Mike Ross, a person who has a photographic memory and can never forget whatever he reads just once, my mind was blown away. Mike Ross has everything I've wanted to have, the guts, the confidence, and, most importantly, the intellect. What he didn't have was that Mike Ross is a fictional character in a movie called SUITS (Yeah, even I thought he was real too).
Suits is a movie about a certain lawyer named Mike Ross who didn't attend law school and doesn't have a certificate he didn't even attend college. He's just a high school graduate, yet he works in one of the most prestigious law firms in New York. This is why I say Mike Ross has guts.
When I started watching Suits, I thought it was gonna be another TV show that replays the same thing all over again, but this one was way more different. Seeing how Mike Ross can be able to achieve his dream despite not having the required qualifications has inspired me in many ways. For starters, I have realized that there is nothing on earth that is stopping me from chasing my dreams except my mind. Sometimes, we think we have a huge problem when, in reality, our mindset is what is stopping us.
The second thing this movie has taught me is that, even though Mike Ross is committing fraud, he still makes sure that he becomes a valuable asset to the firm, and they had to think twice about firing him when the truth came out. This movie has opened my eyes to a lot of things I hadn't realized that I was overlooking about myself. With the inspiration I've gotten from the character Mike Ross, I have made a promise to myself that 2025 will be my year of being audacious about my dreams. I won't let my disqualifications hold me down and neither should you!
