Visible Uptober tides in Bitcoin’s Price movement this year!

Uptober Tides Visible in Bitcoin’s Daily Chart

My instincts feel that Uptober tides are around, and you know why?

Have a look at BTC’s price pattern on the daily chart.

Tradingview. BTC's not declined to retest its main support at $80,000$

After BTC’s price candle jumped on Sep 21st, forming support at $80,800, BTC’s price has not declined even to this support floor. Instead, a potential mini support range has formed, with BTC standing above $82,840.

This, for me, looks like potential Uptober tides because it looks like BTC accumulation is happening at higher ranges. Otherwise, it’s more likely Bitcoin would have corrected to the main support floor of $82,800, which would be a retest process.

With BTC’s Price Recovery, Strategy Has Become Comfortable Accumulating Bitcoin

Speaking of accumulation, since I wrote my article on Bitcoin’s orange whale, Strategy, accumulating 950 BTC on September 21st, the market’s largest Bitcoin treasury corporate whale accumulated BTC again twice. Strategy added more Bitcoin to its Treasury with purchases of 1,665 BTC and again 334 BTC.

My earlier two articles evaluated how BTC’s appreciation also created favourable conditions for Strategy to purchase Bitcoin.

How Rising BTC Prices Created Favorable Conditions for Strategy's Capital Markets

In my articles, I have pointed out visible signs that show BTC’s shift to a bullish phase ever since its increased price movements since August.

BTC’s Recovery Reawakens Strategy’s Bitcoin Accumulation Playbook

This has coincided with Strategy beginning to accumulate Bitcoin..

Why This Year’s Uptober Tide Looks Real Compared to Last Year’s Uptober Optimism

Bitcoin’s weekly chart shows a pattern where last year, in October, the price was falling heavily, while now there is visible upward pressure on Bitcoin’s price.

Tradingview. Last Oct BTC price had downward pressure, this Oct BTC has upward pressure!

Last year, in early October, I remember there was ATH opium that instilled Uptober optimism, which I documented in my article.

The Bullish Pulse of the Crypto Market - Skyward Movements & an Uptober for Bitcoin

The general logic behind last year’s Uptober optimism was that BTC had room to have its final bull run, breaking above the orange asset’s $126,721 ATH point.

This made sense then, as BTC was experiencing bullish momentum, making new ATHs, while the wider altcoin market was experiencing only the initial phases of bull-market momentum. This made some market observers feel that the altcoin market had room to experience more bull-run price appreciation, with Bitcoin having a final bull-price run-up but at a smaller percentage range, as most of its bull phases were over.

However, the Trumpula episode punctured Bitcoin’s bull rally. He made one of his classic tariff-imposition announcements that bit into markets, as he announced the imposition of a 100% tariff on Chinese imports.

After that, BTC transitioned from being in an ATH-propelled Green Season to price bleeding, culminating in a Red Season.

My after-October article last year detailed the prospects of Bitcoin’s Green Season having ended.

After the October Crypto Crash: Is the Green Season Still Alive?

Now Bitcoin’s weekly chart shows that last year, in October, BTC entered a Red Season, which possibly finished with Bitcoin finding a low of $57,807 this year on July 1st.

Now, this October, Bitcoin looks to be inside a Green Season, with its price recovering since August this year.

This is why I really see Uptober tides as explained. It’s not like the Uptober optimism I had last year in early October under the influence of ATH opium.

A BTC-Specific Liquidation Pattern Following Which Price Trend Had Shifted

Interestingly, BTC’s liquidation patterns have left marks that can be correlated to the onset of Red Season last year in October and Green Season this year from August.

Let’s read BTC’s liquidation chart pattern:

Oct 2025 – BTC’s price fall triggered $4.26B of long liquidations, causing that long green candle. Following this, Bitcoin’s price trend transitioned from bullish to bearish.

Aug 2026 – BTC’s price rise triggered $2.36B of short liquidations, causing the pronounced red candle. Following this, BTC’s price trend transitioned from bearish to bullish.

What this shows is that last year, in October, when BTC’s price experienced a sharp decline when market participants expected it to go up, the market experienced a shock, with traders being excessively leveraged in long positions.

Similarly, this year, when BTC’s price suddenly surged upward when market participants expected it to decline further, the market experienced a shock, with traders being excessively leveraged in short positions.

October Tide for Bitcoin – Downtober, Uptober, Nothing, Could Be Anything

Last year, Bitcoin’s market cap was falling from a higher level of $2.42T, with October being BTC’s Downtober.

BTC's MarketCap - Higher Last year but falling, Lower this year but climbing

This year, Bitcoin’s market cap is lower but climbing, and I have already pointed out the visible Uptober signs in BTC’s daily chart.

Every year, as October arrives, it’s a tradition to scan Bitcoin’s financial landscape for visible Uptober tides.

Let’s see how the tide unfolds. 🌊
