To celebrate Halloween, an amazing event—"Hallow’s Fall 2026"—is kicking off in our beloved Splinterlands. For those who, like me, love the game's unique skins and collectibles, this is a fantastic opportunity. Below, I’m sharing—in simple terms—what the event entails and how you can get the most out of it.
📌 First, a crucial timing alert:
The event begins on October 13, 2026 (after maintenance).
However, keep this in mind: while you can purchase skins from the Glint Shop starting on the 13th, skin drops in Reward Chests won't begin until October 15th (coinciding with the start of the new season).
So, whatever you do, don't rush to open chests or waste your Glint before the 15th!
🔥 Key highlights of this event:
A total of 43 special skin designs are arriving:
• 20 "Spooky" skins
• 20 ultra-rare "Haunted" skins
• 3 special limited-edition skins (available for purchase with DEC and Sparks)
• 5 fun Halloween stickers (200 DEC each)
(Note: These are purely cosmetic skins. This means that regardless of the card's foil, the skin can be applied to all variants of that specific card.)
🕸️ 1. Items available in the Glint Shop (October 13 – November 6):
There will be a total of 13 "Spooky" skins available in the Glint Shop. There is no fixed mint limit here; you can mint as many as you like until November 6th:
• Common Skins (500 Glint): Ballista Deadshot, Fenmoor Gorgon, Mana Warden
• Rare Skins (2,500 Glint): Ignited Alchemist, Kobold of Burden, Water Diviner
• Epic Skins (8,000 Glint): Auroral Elemental, Cloveria Morth'lana, Voss
• Legendary Skins (20,000 Glint): Azhar Ibn Sulaim, Filthy Scavenger, Gorvash the Pallid, Mahkah Hemlig
🎰 2. Frontier Jackpot (2% drop rate):
A total of 200 special Spooky skins (100 of each) will drop in the Frontier Jackpot:
• Scales of Justice (Rare) – 100 copies
• Wilhelmdale Deputy (Common) – 100 copies
👻 3. Chest Hunt and Ultra-Rare 'Haunted' Skins:
The main hype this time surrounds the 'Haunted' skins! Only 10 Haunted skins have been created for each character, making them a matter of extreme luck to obtain:
• Minor Chests (1% drop rate): Haunted skins for 8 Common and Rare cards (80 copies total).
• Major Chests (2% drop rate): Haunted skins for 7 Epic and Legendary cards (70 copies total).
• Ultimate Chests (3% drop rate - starts October 15):
- 100 Spooky and 10 Haunted skins for each of the 5 main characters (e.g., Gramel the Hunger, Captain Frankie, etc.) (550 total rewards).
🧪 4. Purchasing with DEC and Sparks (Limited to 50 copies each!):
Only 50 exclusive copies of each will be available here:
• Little Sister: 20,000 Sparks (Sparks Shop)
• Bellowmancer: 5,000 DEC (Rewards Shop – DEC goes directly to the DAO)
• Calamity: 15,000 DEC (Rewards Shop – DEC goes directly to the DAO)
💡 My personal opinion and strategy:
Personally, I am saving up some Glint so I can try to get good drops from chests after the season reset on October 15th. At the same time, the Bellowmancer and Calamity skins look quite appealing; I plan to grab them quickly before the 50 copies run out.
