How are you all? I hope everyone is well and healthy. After a few days of busyness, I got some time today to chat with you. Today, I will mainly talk about a series, which I had to work hard to watch for the last few days. Those who like sci-fi series must have heard of the name 'Star Trek: Discovery'.

I recently finished its first season. Ever since I finished the first season, there was a different excitement in my mind that what was going to happen next. But the problem arose when I watched season 2. I could not easily find it for free on any good site. After searching a lot, I finally found the English version on a free website. And as soon as I got it, I watched the first episode. After finishing the first season, I will share with you today how I felt after watching the first episode of this second season.

The story of this episode basically begins from where the first season ended. Those who watched the first season know that our Discovery encountered the USS Enterprise ship at the last moment. At the beginning of this new season, we see Captain Christopher Pike, a very familiar and beloved character of the Federation. Pike took command of the Discovery after the Enterprise ship was temporarily disabled. Honestly, I really liked the arrival of Captain Pike after the mysterious and somewhat dark character of Captain Lorca in the first season. Anson Mount's performance in the character was quite fluent. Pike has the qualities of a true captain who loves to work with everyone in his team.

The main mystery of the episode begins with seven red signals that suddenly appeared in the universe. While searching for the source of these signals, the Discovery team embarks on a dangerous rescue mission. These scenes of rescuing survivors from a doomed Federation ship were quite tense. The scenes of flying through asteroids with small pods were especially thrilling. It was on this mission that we were introduced to a new character named Commander Jet Reno. His serious yet intelligent conversations and humorous dialogues lightened the serious atmosphere of the story a bit, which was quite nice to watch.

Speaking of other characters, Michael Burnham's mental tension continued in this episode as well. Some unresolved issues from his past and his relationship with his half-brother Spock are haunting him. Although Spock was not physically present in this episode, his presence was felt throughout the episode. On the other hand, Sylvia Tilly's familiar mischievous nature and her research on dark matter brought a different life to the story. However, Paul Stamets' character seemed a little sad, because he still couldn't get over the loss of his loved one and is thinking about leaving Discovery. On the other hand, the way Saru leaves his commanding position and starts working under Captain Pike shows his greatness.

As the first episode, it has created a great foundation for the next story. Coming out of the war environment of Season 1, the familiar feeling of space exploration has been regained in this episode. I am now eagerly waiting to find out what the real secret of Spock and the red signals is. I believe that those who like sci-fi will definitely like the beginning of this season. Those of you who have seen it, don't forget to comment and tell us how you liked it. Stay well everyone, see you in the next episode.
