Every Player Has A Role

Guys, remember how I’ve always said there are so many roles one can play in Splinterlands? And how I’ve found myself playing every role sometimes all at once and other times at different stages of my experience in the game?

News flash, I just added another dimension of activity to my Splinterlands experience that doesn’t even involve playing the game

Speaking of playing the game, something has changed, as a matter of fact, many things have changed, I remember back in the day, one thing that kept me playing Splinterlands even in the bus and anywhere I possibly could was the rewards, the rewards in the first two years of Splinterlands are nothing compared to the rewards that’s being distributed now with ratio to the effort put and time in the game.

Now, this little observation is not general, players who joined the game at a later time can’t relate, they probably think they’re having the best of rewards with ratio to their time and effort, so if you’d ask me why I’ve stopped playing Wild and Modern battles?

it has to have originated from there somehow. Then came even more changes, and even now, changes are going on.

Changes can also be frustrating

The changes have made my head spin, spun and span, and I just can’t. Imagine I’m playing Far Cry, my objectives are clear, mission is clear, and pick up my pad and smash them, but for Splinterlands,…..,

…….. one, building a new game is stupid hard, two, it’s worse when it’s a TCG that has super complicated dynamics that have to be evolved everytime because of the effect of human behavior on real life economics.

I think Splinterlands will always continue to evolve depending on who the president is, elected by the community, so imagine a country like Nigeria,

……. the economy is as good as the politicians and government, so too will the economy of Splinterlands be in few years to come, people will vote and elect leaders perhaps for each tenure.

Meme Lord

Anyway back to the matter, so I found myself more actively speculating and trading cards at some point, then I moved to brawling! I’m still pretty much active in brawling but now my new interest is in engaging the new PNS meme, pushing content about it on X and trying to put it in peoples faces and I’m enjoying it quite as much.

But why this sudden shift, you ask? Well, it's about finding where you fit in the ever-evolving ecosystem of Splinterlands. It's about embracing the fluidity of roles and recognizing that sometimes, the game is not just in the battles but in the community, the economics, and yes, even in the memes.

The introduction of the PNS meme has opened a new chapter for many of us. It's not just about collecting, battling, or trading anymore.

It's about being part of a larger narrative, a shared joke that ties the community together, adding a layer of cultural richness to our Splinterlands experience.

It's about leveraging our collective creativity to bring more eyes to the game we love, albeit through laughter.

This new role I've found myself in? It feels like a perfect fit. It marries my love for Splinterlands with my passion for storytelling and community engagement. And let me tell you, seeing your creations spark conversations, laughter, and even debates, is incredibly rewarding. It’s like watching your own little part of Splinterlands grow and resonate with others.

So, what's the moral of the story here? Splinterlands is a universe of endless possibilities.

Whether you're a battler, a trader, a speculator, or a meme lord, there's a place for you here. It's all about finding your niche, embracing change, and contributing to the community in your unique way. And who knows?

Maybe, like me, you'll discover a new side of yourself in the process.

As for the future, I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. With the game continuously evolving and new opportunities popping up, who’s to say what role I – or any of us – will find ourselves in next?

The only thing I know for sure is that it’s going to be an adventure worth being a part of.

What say you? What role do you play on Splinterlands?

Thanks for reading.
