This is why we can’t have nice things guys! Imagine. Some crazy dev launched a meme token through pump fun, for those who don’t know, pumpfun is platform on Solana where meme tokens are launched and traded before they reach major exchanges like raydium. A lot of shit goes down in pumpfun but that’s a story for another day.
So this crazy dev created a token and used the image of a tied up toddler as the token’s background and said “Raydium or he dies”, so another quick back story.
For a token created on Pumpfun to get to the general exchanges like Raydium, it must pass a bonding stage, that bonding stage is where it garners enough buying power from traders or investors, the threshold is $70k I think.
So the summary of the idea is to launch on pumpfun, people buy, if the demand is enough, it bonds, and goes to Raydium where more people can buy. So this crazy dev said he’ll kill the child if the token doesn’t garner enough buys to hit Raydium.

Did he do it? No, But did the token hit Raydium? Yes. Ofcourse it ended a pump and dump but why will anyone even think of doing that in the first place. The other day, another crazy person set himself ablaze just to pump his token,
The Dark Side of Meme Tokens
While the humor and community spirit of meme tokens can be fun, there’s an undeniable dark side. The extreme measures some devs take to garner attention can have serious consequences.
Give people 1 yard, they will take a mile. What if he actually killed the toddler and posted it for everyone to see all because his token didn’t reach Raydium, what if other psychos follow suit? I’m certain law enforcement are already looking at clamping down.
Are these signs of the “top”
These outrageous stunts make you wonder if we’re witnessing the peak of the meme token craze. Historically, when markets hit their peak, you often see irrational and extreme behavior.
It’s not just the devs who are pushing boundaries; the market participants are equally responsible. The fact that people are willing to invest in these tokens despite the outlandish and often unethical promotion strategies shows a level of euphoria and risk-taking that typically precedes a market top lmao.

Should the market top now?
Ah please I don’t like what I don’t like. I’m still broke, what will I tell my children? That bull ran and I missed it? That I missed all the airdrops? missed all the tap to earns? And even the meme craze? Hive has not even hit $5 and you’re talking about market tops?
No way. We need this market to keep going, to reach new heights, to give everyone a chance at that life-changing upside. Yes, there’s craziness and a lot of irrational behavior, but there’s also real potential, real opportunity. Crypto market is still maturing, and with that comes growing pains. But it also means there’s room to grow, to learn, and to build.
The Hope for Sustainability
Let’s hope that amidst the chaos, the market finds a way to balance. That genuine projects with solid foundations continue to thrive, and that the community learns to discern between hype and real value and that a purge doesn’t mean a total crash.
