Hello friends, This is @mmiya from #bangladesh.
Dear Hive enthusiasts, today I would like to share with you a beautiful photograph of a butterfly. Butterflies are inherently lovely, made even more striking by the intricate patterns adorning their wings. While we often group them all under the general term "butterfly," there are, in fact, many different species, each with its own unique name.
The butterfly featured in today’s post is known as 'Chandnari'—a species also commonly referred to as the 'Grey Pansy' (scientific name: Junonia atlites). It has a delicate, slender build and features two long, antenna-like appendages atop its head. Its wings are decorated with beautiful, circular, eye-like or moon-like patterns, which greatly enhance its overall beauty. Being quite lightweight, it is capable of taking flight and darting away with great speed and ease.
Capturing this image proved to be a bit of a challenge. These butterflies are typically found fluttering around water bodies, paddy fields, or flower gardens; I managed to photograph this one near a paddy field. Every time I brought my mobile phone close to take a picture, it would fly off. I had to wait patiently for it to return before trying again. After several attempts, I finally succeeded in capturing a few shots. I hope you enjoy this butterfly photograph!
