It is true that changes are inevitable and we find it so difficult to accept it or adapt to it when it happens. Changes are in different forms, it can be temporary or permanent. But when we talk of the changes we all experience in the cycle of life, it's a permanent thing that everyone must deal with it individually.
There was a time in my life that decision making wasn't my priority at all, it's the duty of my parents to decide on whatever that happens with me.
But in recent years, I've been the sole controller of my life and at first it was hard for me to deal with. One of the things that generated big changes in me was facing the reality of living alone as a civil servant miles away from my family.
That family (my Parents and Siblings) is everything to me in the city because I've lived with them all my life and living far away from them was a big deal for me. Leaving my comfort zone was a major pain in my heart, it changed the whole of my lifestyle and everything in me.
At first when I go to visit my house (my family) when I'm free or during the holidays, I'm both excited and as well sad because I will go back to my base so soon. But after a while I understand that I need to brace up and face the changes that life has brought into my life.
I got to understand that I'm at a stage in life that I need to have everything figured out and planned by myself or else life might be difficult for me.
In my hard time alone I find solace in reading books and listening to sermons from my favorite preacher. This really helped to lift my spirit and gear me up for the future ahead of me, luckily for me I wasn't sunk in my difficult moments.
I engaged in a whole lot of activities that makes me man up to my challenges and it worked. I'm better now, living and coping with all the challenges that life might brought my way. I'm now learning through life processes, taking care of myself to my own capacity and living the life of my dreams.
