Hello Hive

It's a lovely new weeks and I'm just starting to feel relieved from all the exam stress and tension I went through. It was the first of many nights I was able to sleep peacefully. With that aside I feel enthusiastic about everything. I posted about my first crochet project just few days ago and this will is me resuming fully into sewing. I have some lovely fabrics and designs I want to explore before I get with school again as another exam will be in two months time.
Guess what I haven't been to church for the past few weeks either, I missed singing, my fellow choristers missed me too. Everyone called in to check on me.
It was so bad that I became I'll after the exams and was placed on medication and bed rest. I was away from blogging for two days to get quality rest.

It's a new day, with new moods and revived energy I can have I fresh start now. So our uniform for next Sunday will be Purple dress. My besty has called ahead of time to inform me about the roster of ministration and what songs I will be leading on Sunday.
I have my own dress ready but was worried about my friend who lamented about not having what to wear. She is someone I have admired so much among all our lead soprano Singers and most times I love to sing side by side with her.

I desire to resume church this Sunday with so much vibes, having her around makes the fun and joy complete as we will both follow each other dancing steps to sing and praise God. I'm just not ready to have a boring Sunday service hence I decided to make her a dress.
Lucky for me I have so many work in progress outfits I checked them up and found this purple dress, the fabric is a lovely one but I had mistakenly cut the necklines wider than what will look fitting for me.
I can wear a dress with such a deep necklines being very slim with protruding collar bones, I love outfits that hides my collar bones well 🤣🤣🤣. On the contrary my friend is a chubby fellow with thicker and Fuller necklines and this will fit her well.
I started by cutting down the dress both front and back piece

I got bias strip which I used to turn the neckline of the dress

I cut out a small flair which I added to the front to design the waistline

I stitched the different pieces of the dress together and created a neat hemming for the lower parts and sleeves.

Not wanting go leave the dress plain I got this decorative pearls and used my hot glue gun go position them on different part of the dress.
This was done and the dress came out so pretty.

Our rehearsal will be this evening and I can't wait to gift her this dress show her what I have been up to since last night that she made this known to me.
I have so many unfinished outfits which I no longer desire because of several fitting issues I may just use the methods to finish them up and gift them to people in need. After all there is room go sew even better and prettier designs now that our sewing skills are much better.
