Hello Hive

Happy New Monday to the most beautiful and creative community on Hive. Creativity and crafts of the highest level and quality are found here, and I bet that anyone coming around the community will not get disappointed. I appreciate all of your amigurumi, lovely dolls, crochet works, and all the sewing that comes in here every day.
Aside from feeding our eyes with this beauty, it also keeps us inspired as we get to learn from each other.

Shouldn't I be the luckiest sister to share an outfit with the birthday girl? The birthday girl is my sister ๐๐๐, and I have shared with you all how I had surprisingly sewn this dress for her. Going out of the way to purchase all the accessories needed from my own pocket.
Is there a thing we cannot do for the people we love and that are there to us? I don't think so.

She was so happy to rock her dress on her birthday, but before that day, I forced her to take a few shots for me.

After sewing her dress, we had enough left over of the fabric, as the fabric was 6 meters. She thought about what she could do with the rest, and I promised to again sew her a traditional outfit out of the fabric that will look so nice, fitted, and beautiful compared to this crafty one, as our African mothers want to be dressed in a more respectful manner rather than something like this sometimes.

I measured out the meter I would be using for her next outfit from the same fabric and realized that we still have a meter and a half of the fabric left. I was pleased with her for gifting the remaining fabrics to me, and she did. The fabric would have no better owner than myself, and here is one good turn deserving another. ๐๐๐. I have eyes the fabric from day one and wished to have an outfit from it myself.
Since I got the fabric
All I needed was to purchase some accessories, and then I sprang into action. I knew what I wanted, having seen something like this on the internet before.

I caught the inspiration and purchased these red fringes for $2.
I used a red fringe for mine as against the white organza I had used for hers.

Having cut the dress
I moved on to sure it, turning the necklines first.

While sewing, boom, I had the needle prick accident. The electric machine has sewn deep into my fingernails by mistake. I didn't have control of it when this happened

Ouch ๐ค, that hurts, but I didn't stop sewing until I was done. How many seamstresses are lucky to have not had this needle prick before? ๐ญ
I didn't pay attention to the pain as I was in a hurry to get the dress ready before the power supply goes off. We are not often lucky to have enough power supply and I love how easier, stress less and faster it gets to sew with electric machine.
Stitching the hem and sides, a good press, and my dress is ready.

The fringe will lovely serve as the complete length of the clothes for my dress.

We got back from Neuroclinic during the weekend, where we had gone for my brother's health checkup since he came down with a neuro ailment towards the end of last year. Having gotten enough rest, he managed to give me some shots.

This is exactly how I get so lucky to sew some new outfits for myself whenever there is leftover fabric from customers outfits who are sometimes willing to gift me the rest of the fabric. They have no need for leftover fabrics while I have so much need for all of them.
Well, that is me and the birthday girl. What do you think of our outfits?
