Hello Beautifully people and my beloved needlework family. I hope we are all doing well and feeling good health-wise. It is always a blessing when we enjoy good health, as it enables us to stay energized and productive. As much as we pursue our daily activities and goals, always make it a duty to look after your health, do some necessary medical checkups, and be proactive about our health status. Do not wait until your systems begin to breakdown before you take the necessary medical action steps.

Today I made a project that delights me so much, and I'm happy to share with the community. It is one of our proud moments as a family to watch our children grow up and achieve greater heights in their education and otherwise.

My niece here is the first grandchild in the family, and ever since she was born 10 years ago, I have watched her grow and even supported the parents in raising her up.
I have made countless dresses for her right from when she was a year old, and somehow I became her little mother. Today my baby goes to school, and everyone is looking around for how we can get her properly settled in school. Alot of kids here start their high school as preteens, and they grow into teenagers before they graduate.
Watching them throughout this phase of their lives is an exciting one.
While her mom has gone shopping for her school stationery, she bought the fabric for the school uniform and asked me to help her sew it.
I was reluctant about sewing this because I do have some challenges regarding sewing collars, and the uniform is meant to have something like a platter or choir boy collar.
I had to accept to sew her uniform when we went to price a ready-sewed uniform from the school, and they cost it to be $7. That is a bit on the high side, hence we purchased the two colors of fabrics for the school uniform for a little above $2, and I decided to sew it as best as I could.

I started with cutting the blouse.

Then the sleeves
And the fake collars I tried to add 😂😂😂

Added a facing and then the collar part.

I didn't make the best of this very one, but having made this, I learned about some possible error that made the collar not as good as it should be.

Those errors will be corrected in a subsequent trial, as I want to make her at least one more set of uniforms so that she wouldn't be stuck with wearing a single uniform all through school days.

Different ideas on how to make the next one better have been popping in my head, and I can't wait to get to it, but for now she can wear this as tomorrow will be her first day in high school.
I am so happy to be a part of her life and growing up and I hope that she cherish this moment and memories when she grows up.
