Today I'm going to talk about Lobstradamus, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge in Splinterlands.

I'm a big fan of cards with spell attacks because they ignore the enemy's armor and can attack from any position.

This is Lobstradamus, an epic card from the Water deck and a great ally for the Reverse Speed rule and for facing cards with spell, melee, and ranged attacks.

When it comes to dealing damage, Lobstradamus isn't a good choice because its spell attack is low, but the main function of this card is defense because it has a lot of health and great defensive abilities.

Now let's learn about Lobstradamus abilities: Shield, Magic Reflect, and Thorns.

Shield: 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.

This is a great ability to defend against cards with melee and ranged attacks.

Magic Reflect: Returns 50% of damage to the attacker (rounded up) when hit by a magic attack.

This isn't a defensive ability, but it's a great way to deal more damage against cards with magic attacks.

Thorns: Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.

Another ability that melee attack cards will hate.

In the past, this was one of my favorite cards to defend in the first position with a water deck. Currently, there are other great options, but I still like using Lobstradamus in battles.

I mentioned the Reverse Speed rule before, so let's learn about it.

Reverse Speed: During the Reverse Speed Modifier, units with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance to evade attacks.

Lobstradamus only has 1 speed, so it's a great card for the Reverse Speed rule.

Now let's take a look at how Lobstradamus is useful in battle.

Watch The Battle

In this battle, the Reverse Speed rule doesn't apply, so I used several cards with the Swiftness ability to increase Lobstradamus's speed and make it a more useful card in battle.

To improve Lobstradamus's performance, I chose the summoner Lir Deepswimmer, making Lobstradamus even more useful against ranged attacks, but in this battle my opponent didn't use ranged cards.

It wasn't a difficult battle, and I emerged victorious in 6 rounds.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

Find more information about Arcade Colony in my post: Discover the Arcade Colony Platform.
