Today is the day to buy and open Chaos Legion packs in Splinterlands to increase my in-game card collection.
I recently decided that I wanted to build a card collection in the game so that I wouldn't have to spend DEC renting cards and it would make my life easier. After thinking about which edition would be the best to start with, I chose the Chaos Legion edition because its cards are powerful and it is the cheapest edition currently.
To increase my Chaos Legion card collection, I have the option of buying the cards on the market or buying and opening packs. The first option is the best because I won't have to rely on luck and I can choose the cards I want to buy, so it's easier to evolve the cards because I only need to buy the right amount to level them up.
The option of buying and opening packs is risky because it will depend on my luck, but I like to buy a few packs a week and open them because I think it's fun and because I have the hope that at some point a Gold Foil legendary card will appear.
Today is the day to buy and open packs, so I went to Hive Engine and bought 3 Chaos Legion packs for 1.05 Swap.Hive each, in total I spent 3.17 Swap.Hive.
It seems I'm lucky because the price of each pack considering the current hive price is $0.33 and I think this is the lowest price I've seen the Chaos Legion pack since I started playing Splinterlands again.
After buying the packs, I just need to transfer them to my Splinterlands account and open them. Don't forget to use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions when opening the packs because they will help you a lot.

Now I'm going to open the packs and see if I'm lucky, I hope today is the day I finally get my Gold Foil legendary card.
It seems I used up all my luck buying the cheap packs and unfortunately I didn't get a Gold Foil legendary card today, in fact I didn't get any legendary cards and no Gold Foil cards so this wasn't a good pack opening since I ended up at a loss, but I did get the Obsidian summoner and I use her a lot in my battles so she'll be very useful in my collection.
Unfortunately the total value I get in the cards by opening these packs is less than the price I paid for the packs, so opening these packs was a loss for me, but it was fun.
Since the year started I haven't had much luck opening packs in Splinterlands, most of the time the total value of the cards was lower than the price I paid for the packs, but I'll keep opening packs for fun and also because I hope that at some point I'll get really lucky.
