The Splinterlands game is one of the best games everyone needs to learn how to play. Apart from the fact that it's got so many benefits, like play-to-earn games, it also goes a long way toward critical thinking.
Well, I'm also a newbie, as I started playing not quite long ago. But then I have learned a lot. I'm still learning, though, because there are so many unique things about the Splinterlands game.
Getting started on Splinterlands is not a difficult thing to do.

First, determination is very important in whatever we are doing, so when you are determined that you want to know something, then you will definitely know it. As a newbie, it's also important to know that Splinterlands is not free. You will pay the sum of 10 HBD to buy a spell book, and after that, you will have full access to the game.
After buying the spell book, you need to navigate your way to how to play. The first thing a newbie needs to learn and know well is how to play, and honestly, it's well explained in the game.

Starting with the two types of cards, summoners and monsters,. Talking about the summoners, a newbie should know which summoners to use in a batter and which monster to select. It is also good to know that a summoner is like a parent who has children. Well, that's just my own explanation.

Then elements: knowing your element is also important because when you know your element, you will be able to identify your card, and you will know which one to use. There are six elements listed. Fire, water, life, dragon, death, and Earth.
I can identify this element by color, and that is how I know which card is the water element and which is the fire element. Although there are some cards with two elements, those are called dual-element cards.

After that, there is what we called the identification of a card.

Before you select a card, sometimes it depends on the rules that were given to you, and there are a series of things to know about a card.
The mana cost: this is the number of the card, and if you see a card with a big mana cost, it shows how powerful the card is.

We have the amor; this also comes in a number, and the amor is also part of what protects the card. Some with big hearts will not die on time.

Speed: A card with good speed will always have an advantage over a card with a lower speed when attacking.

Health: health is the amount of blood they carry; some might be 6, 2, 9, and so on.

The name of the cards will show, and then abilities: Abilities are very important when selecting cards. There are so many abilities; knowing them all will give you a good insight on how to select your game in the battle.

Attacking mood.
It is so good to know that there is a way to select your card so they can battle well.

Melee Attack: All melee cards should always be on the front roll, so they can attack well. Only if the card has the ability to make an attack from other places, but a melee card should always be on the front roll.

Ranged Attack: This card doesn't attack in front like melee, so putting this card in front will waste energy. This card attacks from a distance.

Magic attack: this attack comes from anywhere, regardless of which row you placed it in, so magic cards have more opportunity than the rest.

As a newbie, if you can follow these instructions and you can always be calm when learning, Splinterlands is an awesome game; you just need to give it time and be calm while learning.

Also, there are Discord channels where you will see people who are good at playing the game. Asking questions is also very important, so when you are lost, they can call your attention to it.

My early experience on Splinterlands was just one of the challenges I faced in knowing all the abilities and which card to use. But at some point, I just realized that you just need to keep trying and keep doing it over and over again. That's how I'm learning now because I'm still learning. But when I start, it looks like I'm not going to know it. We just have to keep going.
