Pork with Oregano and Rustic Baked Potatoes [ESP/ENG]

Good evening, fellow readers of the @hivefood community. It’s a pleasure to greet you all. Welcome to my blog.

5.jpg

Today, once again, I’m stopping by this lovely community to share a new recipe that you’re going to love: Oregano-seasoned pork with rustic baked potatoes, refried beans, and white rice. It’s a fairly simple, quick, and easy recipe—perfect for those days when we’re rushing around the house, trying to figure out what to make because time is tight. Well, for moments like these, we can turn to this recipe and put it into practice. The oven-roasted pork with potatoes gives the dish a rustic touch.

Pork has a very tender texture; when you add oregano along with all the other aromatic herbs, it whets your appetite. Just seeing how juicy it turns out with baked potatoes is out of this world—it’s so delicious that none of the diners will leave anything on their plates. Cooking it in the oven is a great option because the meat’s own juices, combined with the sauces you add, mean you won’t need to add any oil. Plus, white meat is a better choice than red meat, which can raise cholesterol levels and, over time, cause muscle pain due to the uric acid it contains.

Now I’ll list the ingredients and the step-by-step process I used to prepare this delicious dish.

Ingredients

  • 750 grams of pork

  • 700 grams of white potatoes

  • 3 tablespoons of whole oregano

  • 1/2 tablespoon of cumin

  • 1/4 of an onion

  • a bit of cilantro, leek, and celery

  • 5 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • Salt and white pepper to taste

Preparation

The first thing I did was wash the pork with plenty of water, then cut it into medium-sized cubes. I added Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, pepper, salt, cumin, and crushed garlic, placed it in a hot oven, and let it bake for 5 minutes. I took the baking sheet out and added the potatoes, cut into medium-sized cubes, along with the rest of the blended seasonings. I let it cook for another 15 minutes or until the liquid had evaporated, stirred it, tasted it to check the flavor and texture, and it was ready to serve.

I served this dish with refried beans and some white rice I made—everything turned out delicious, with a wonderful aroma and flavor. We also had Pepsi to drink.

That’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post, and I’ll see you in my next one. Best regards, and may God bless you all abundantly.
