Walk for the Consecration of Venezuela to the Most Holy Redeemer [ENG/ESP]

Good evening, dear and valued friends who take the time to check out my content, published every Wednesday in the @Wednesdaywalk community. It’s a pleasure to greet you. Welcome to my blog.

Today I wanted to share with you this walk I took fifteen days ago through the streets of my city, in commemoration of Venezuela’s feast of the Most Holy Redeemer. We walked a few blocks from 29th Street—where La Paz Church is located, which served as our starting point—to 20th Street, where Altagracia Church is located, which served as our destination. There, a Mass was held for all the victims who lost their lives in the twin earthquakes that my country, Venezuela, has just endured, for the injured, and for those who are still alive but have lost their homes and are now living on the streets.

This procession wound its way through several streets of the city with the canopy and the Blessed Sacrament inside it; at every corner and street, we would stop, and the priest would offer a prayer and a reflection to bless it with a cross bearing the Blessed Sacrament on all four sides. There were moments of great sadness, but also of joy, because we cannot remain in grief; we must have the hope that only God gives, with our faith placed in Him. We know that it was a natural disaster that, in a matter of minutes, swept away all the projects and goals that many people had. Throughout the long walk, we prayed the meditated Rosary; there were many beautiful Marian hymns that made the journey fly by—we just wanted to keep walking. A large number of parishioners attended.

We walked past the side of the National Building, which houses the courts, part of the criminal justice system, the registry of educational credentials, and other institutions. It’s a very old building, but it’s currently very well maintained and has a beautiful plaza in front of it.

We also passed by some elementary and middle schools, such as the Inmaculada School. Along the way, we could see some very colorful old houses that I found beautiful, and we continued on this long journey until we reached the Altagracia Church.

The hike started a little late, at 5 p.m. There wasn’t much sun, but the sky remained very beautiful and clear, with scattered clouds carrying no rain.

Caminata por la consagración de Venezuela al Santísimo Redentor

Buenas noches queridos y apreciados amigos que dedican parte de su valioso tiempo para darle un vistazo a mi contenido publicado cada miércoles de cada semana en la comunidad de @Wednesdaywalk, gusto en saludarlos. sean bienvenidos a mi blog.

Hoy quise presentarle esta caminata que hice hace quince días atrás por las calles de mi ciudad, en conmemoración de Venezuela al Santísimo Redentor, caminamos unas cuantas cuadras desde la calle 29 donde esta la iglesia la paz que fue el punto de partida hasta la calle 20 donde esta la iglesia Altagracia que fue el punto de llegada donde realizaron una misa por todas las victimas caída en el doble terremoto que acaba de afrontar mi pais Venezuela, por los heridos, por los que aun quedaron con vida pero que han sufrido la perdida de sus hogares y han quedado en la calle.

Esta caminata se saco por varias calles de la ciudad con el palio y el santísimo dentro de el, en cada esquina y calle nos deteníamos y el sacerdote hacia una oración y reflexión para bendecirla con una cruz con el santísimo en los cuatro costados. SE vivieron momentos de mucha tristeza pero también de alegría porque no podemos quedarnos en el dolor hay que tener esperanza que solo la da Dios con la fe puesta en el, sabemos que fue algo natural que le arranco en minutos todo los proyectos y metas que tenían muchas personas. Durante toda la larga caminata se hizo el rosario meditado, hubo muchos cantos marianos hermosísimos que no s hizo largo el trayecto, solo queríamos continuar esta caminata. Asistió una gran cantidad de feligreses.

Pasamos por un costado donde queda el edificio nacional, aquí funcionan los tribunales, parte del circuito penal, el registro de títulos educativos entre otros. Es un edificio muy antiguo pero que en estos momentos esta muy bien cuidado, cuenta con una plaza al frente muy bonita.

También pasamos por algunos institutos de nivel primaria y secundaria como lo es l colegio inmaculada. En el recorrido podemos apreciar que existen casas antiguas muy coloridas y que para mi son hermosas, así continuamos este largo recorrido hasta llegar a la iglesia Altagracia.

La caminata se hizo un poco tarde a las 5 de la tarde, había poco sol pero permanecía el cielo muy bonito y despejado con las nubes libres si agua.
