When my friend and I went to see the Big Buddha statue on top of the hill in Phuket, it was an unforgettable experience. Looking over the hill, I saw a beautiful sight that stretched all the way to the horizon, with the most extraordinary view on the whole island.
They have built a few look-out points for the tourists, such as the terrace in the first photo. It is a fantastic place to snap a picture with a beautiful background of the island, but it's a bit frightening when you're up there! People always take selfies with this magnificent view as their backdrop.
For this picture, though, I had to go down a bit below the terrace and ask my friend to climb up and act as the main model. This is one of the busiest places in the area because everyone wants to take photos, so it took me a while to edit the image and erase the other tourists.
The nature around Thailand is already beautiful, but there's something about looking down on it from above. You feel that you're in full control of the island!
Phuket's Big Buddha viewpoint offers a superb 360-degree view of the island, with lush tropical vegetation, the Andaman Sea and distant coastal towns.]
