Traveling on an organized tour usually has a catch that makes you feel like you’ve arrived at the most beautiful place in the world only to be disappointed by the number of tourists surrounding the attractions. There are people from your tour group and, more notably, hundreds of individuals who are part of other groups, making it impossible to take a solitary shot without being annoyed by hordes of people.

Of course, if you have a sturdy tripod with you and some time to spare, you can take several shots with exposure blending to ultimately mask all the unnecessary crowds in Photoshop.

Sometimes, however, a different story unfolds in the most unexpected of moments

As you can see in the photo, when this couple walked right through my shot, I was delighted rather than annoyed

They added a sense of scale to the colossal rock formation, as well as a nice touch of humanity and personality to the photo that, frankly, would’ve been lacking without their unexpected visit.

Now, tell me - have you ever been in a situation where either crowds or other people unintentionally improved your photo? How would you blend the emptiness of an unpeopled scene with the authenticity of real-life moments? Let me know in the comments below
