When my friend and I went to China, we were in a big tour group of forty people. But as soon as we arrived at this remarkable palace, my companion and I sneaked away from the tour group in order to sneak around and snap pictures at our own pace.
I have always been fond of long corridors with many columns because they offer interesting perspectives for a picture. In this palace, I found the perfect corridor that offered the ideal perspective for a picture.
Now given China's population size, it would be impossible to find an empty corridor. However, the sight of people gathered at the far end of the long hallway only added to the authenticity and warmth of the image.
The Forbidden City in Beijing, China. Miles of vast red-painted corridors and classical Chinese architecture present ample opportunities for great pictures with interesting perspectives.
