I have already talked about Churches in Serbia and how religious they are. If you haven’t read it yet, check out my previous posts.
However, I wanted to mention the tradition of lighting candles.
In many churches I have been to, it is normally a tradition to light candles inside the church itself. However, this church had its own outdoor space where people could light their candles. I found it very interesting because people from all ages and backgrounds were lighting candles.
On the day that I went to visit it was a holiday and therefore there were lots of people.
I’m not a Christian but it is interesting to see how lighting candles plays a special role in many religions.
