I took this photo in a village called Rahzan near the city of Arak in IRAN. We stayed there for two nights as a guest of the locals in the village, and I had a great time there. One evening, while the sun was setting, I decided to go for a walk and saw this tree right there in front of me. It was all alone, the background of it was a lake in the distance.

The villagers told me that it was a salt lake, and when I asked them if we could get closer, they told me the ground around the lake was swampy. I think it was a very nice picture, one that spoke of mystery and had a nice contrast. The tree is really something else too, half-dead but also half-alive. It feels like it has witnessed a lot of the history of the area.

As always, I have included both the edited and the unedited photo so you can see for yourselves what changes were made. I hope you enjoyed it!

Which one of the two photos did you like the most? The real, raw one, or the edited one that speaks of mystery and silence? Feel free to tell me in the comments below!

Love you all ❤️
