While exploring the historic Belgrade Fortress I stumbled upon this lovely little house with lovely potted plants neatly arranged right behind its windowpane.
Actually, around the whole city itself many of the houses have flowers on display behind their windows. It seems like a unique cultural touch which I have rarely seen in other countries or cities.
Such windows decorated with those beautiful flowerpots cannot be randomly found, only in cities with a rich history and a long heritage I would say.
While the fortress offered a great insight and view of many magnificent sights, this little window here gave me this fantastic, warm feeling of coziness and age-oldness.
