A rumor is circulating around the world that is considered a myth: the urban legend of a supposed man with the superpower to teleport anywhere on the globe. Those who have seen him consider him a narcissist with an entrepreneur’s mindset, since he runs an illegal international travel business. Rumors say he charges enormous sums to take people to the beach, which has earned him a reputation among corrupt magnates who can afford an instant trip.
His alias is “Globetrotter” but his real name is Antrink Sense, and he is no myth. He is an international criminal relentlessly hunted by the law. Since he has the power to be anywhere, locating him is technically impossible. But there was one occasion when they almost managed to catch him...
It happened one night when the wind was freezing despite it being summer. On the rooftop of an apartment complex, a hooded man waited while looking at his phone. Suddenly, a purple flash illuminated the scene for a few brief seconds behind him: the subject had appeared.
“I suppose you’re the client. That’s obvious, since there’s no one else here,” Antrink said as he surveyed the surroundings.
“I don’t like wasting time, so tell me where you want me to take you,” he said while taking his phone from his pocket.
“That won’t be necessary, because I’m here to take you to prison,” the hooded man replied.
He removed his hood in less than a blink. Agent Silver had his weapon drawn and was aiming it directly at Antrink’s chest.
The elusive globetrotter was cornered against the edge of the building. He opened his eyes in surprise as he stared directly at the CIA agent.
“It’s over. The trip is canceled. Don’t try anything. Put your hands up. You’re coming with me,” Silver said as he advanced with slow steps.
Antrink raised his hands, wearing a smile that showed not the slightest hint of fear. He wore his characteristic leather coat and the arrogant look typical of someone who always has an ace up his sleeve.
“Do you really think a pistol can stop me?” Antrink replied, tilting his head as he smiled.
With an extremely swift movement, Silver closed the distance in a fraction of a second and pulled out a pair of reinforced titanium handcuffs. Before Antrink could react, the agent closed one end around the criminal’s left wrist and quickly secured the other end to his own right wrist.
“No, but it served as a distraction. Now, if you jump, I jump with you. As I said, it’s over. You’re under arrest,” the agent said, tugging on the chain that bound them.
Antrink burst out laughing and said:
“That, my friend, is the worst mistake you’ve made in your career. Hold on tight!”
The air around them grew hot as a purple glow enveloped them. Silver felt chills as the hairs on his skin stood on end. A second later, they disappeared...
They were no longer on the rooftop. They had been transported to a place whose heat was suffocating. They had landed in the middle of a Marrakech market, knocking over a fabric stall beneath the scorching midday sun. The merchants screamed in terror upon seeing two men materialize out of nowhere on top of their carpets.
Antrink wasted no time. Taking advantage of the disorientation caused by the jump, he drove an elbow straight into Agent Silver’s face. The agent blocked the impact with his free forearm, grabbed Antrink by the lapel of his coat, and used his body weight to pin him against a pyramid of wicker baskets.
“Don’t resist!” Silver shouted.
“You haven’t seen anything yet!” Antrink replied.
Antrink’s eyes glowed an intense purple. Gravity seemed to disappear completely. Both men fell, and in the blink of an eye, Morocco’s suffocating heat was replaced by hurricane-force winds at thirty degrees below zero. They were in free fall above the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
Panic seized Agent Silver for a fraction of a second, but his relentless military discipline made him act quickly. As they plummeted toward the glaciers at tremendous speed, Silver yanked Antrink’s wrist, pulling him toward himself in midair. They became embroiled in a fight during the fall, trading knee strikes and punches as the freezing wind froze their tears and cut off their breath.
Once again, a purple flash distorted space just as they were about to crash. This time, they landed with a splash in a dark, foul-smelling swamp. The murky water of the Florida Everglades reached their waists. Herons took flight, frightened by their sudden appearance.
Agent Silver wiped the mud from his face and threw a right hook. Antrink dodged it and pulled on the chain with all his strength, using the tension to throw him off balance. Silver fell backward but dragged the fugitive down with him. They both rolled through the mud, struggling.
“You’re very stubborn,” Antrink said before spitting in his face.
Another blinding purple flash, and they landed inside a huge abandoned foundry in Detroit. The impact was brutal; they rolled and crashed into a series of rusted gears. Bruised and exhausted, Silver managed to seize Antrink’s arm and pin him against a steel beam anchored to the concrete floor.
The handcuff chain was pulled taut between the beam and the agent’s wrist, restricting both men’s movements.
“It’s over. There’s nowhere left to run. You’re not getting out of this,” Silver exclaimed, raising his free fist to deliver the finishing blow.
But Antrink did not try to defend himself. With a focused expression, he activated his power to its limit. He condensed all the energy he had left into his own body, but this time, he pushed his center of gravity in the direction opposite the steel beam.
Space distorted, and the purple light around him radiated intense heat. The physical tension imposed on the small titanium chain became unbearable. The metal began to melt, unable to withstand the energy of the ceaseless spatial singularity. The central link of the handcuffs exploded into a thousand pieces.
The force of the resulting shockwave sent Agent Silver several meters backward, making him roll heavily across the dusty floor. When he finally managed to get up, coughing through the cloud of dust, he looked around and realized that Antrink was already gone.
Agent Silver was left completely alone. He slowly raised his right wrist. Hanging from it was only half of a shattered pair of titanium handcuffs...

"¡No te resistas!" Grito Silver
"¡Aún no has visto nada!" dijo Antrink.
