Two days ago, I received a gift: a beautiful Harry Potter planner. I’ve been a Harry Potter fan since I was a child. It’s a fantastic and beautiful world. My friend gave me the planner while we were deciding whether to buy it or not. I always tell her that we should only purchase things we truly need. The planner was something I needed and absolutely loved. The fact that it was a gift makes me value it even more.

She was very sweet when she said she would buy two—one for herself and one for me. I had previously given her a spectacular Harry Potter-themed cup. She told me we needed matching planners and that, since I’m very organized, this one would be perfect for me. What I love most about this beautiful gift is its elegance. It doesn’t look childish, and it preserves my essence as a fan.

One of the aspects I consider most important is that it’s made of faux leather. This is a big plus for me, mainly because the contents inside won’t get damaged easily. I’m thinking of using it for critical notes and important information. I already have another planner where I do time planning and outline my weekly activities.

The planner has a clasp with the letter “H.” The clasp is beautifully made because the letter is engraved. When you touch it, you can feel the embossed texture perfectly. My friend bought the planner at Miniso.

Naturally, the engraved quote on the planner belongs to Hogwarts. The magical school from the Harry Potter universe feels fantastic and brings back wonderful childhood memories of watching all the movies. I even remember insisting on going to the cinema when the final films came out. If someone gifted me the full set of J.K. Rowling’s books, I would love them even more.

One of the details I find marvelous is that the pages are printed with iconic elements from the story. I’ve always wanted to buy a golden Snitch necklace, so seeing it inside the planner made me very happy.

The aged paper gives the planner a more interesting look and adds that magical essence characteristic of the Harry Potter universe. All the pages follow this style; I think I’m just missing a quill to write in it. For now, I’ll stick to my regular pen, hahaha.

The crest on the planner is the Hogwarts emblem that includes each of the magical houses, along with the phrase “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus” (Never tickle a sleeping dragon). These are the kinds of details only fans truly appreciate. I think they’re fantastic.

The first pages of the planner are similar, although the logo changes and only shows the castle with the phrase “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus.” The page styles vary as you flip through: some pages have guidelines, others are blank, and the final ones are grid-patterned. However, all of them include the Hogwarts logo. It’s a bit of a shame that none of the pages feature anything from Gryffindor—like the crest, the sword, or the banner.

What I love most about this planner is that it looks like a small suitcase. Everything about it is perfect. It reflects who I am in every way. Without a doubt, it is one of the best gifts I’ve ever received, even though my siblings say it looks childish. Those creatures never liked Harry Potter anyway.
