The last few days in Venezuela have been very sad. Despite having many things to write about, I have not been able to due to my emotional state. This will be a quick post of a coffee I bought in a new coffee shop in Barquisimeto called la Ventanita which is located on Vargas Avenue between 25th and 26th Streets.

The shopping was a bit quick, as I was driving with my uncle, I had work to do at home pending and I couldn't stay long. If I have the chance to go again, maybe I will take more pictures and make a new review to share, hahahaha. For the time being, I will write what I perceived that day.

The concept of the place is very striking, as it is designed in a minimalist way and with the necessary elements to function. It's not overdone, it's simple, and that's what makes it stand out.

I should point out that I wanted to visit this café for a while because of their Instagram posts. They do marketing mixed with a specific type of music; i.e., salsa, merengue, jazz, among others. They keep that culturalist touch and make the modern with the past become nostalgic.

The service in this café is pleasant and, being a new place, you feel at home. It makes you want to come back. It also stands out because the service is not to be consumed on the premises, but to take away. You buy it and walk with it to enjoy it, or you take it in your car (that was my case).

The walls of the place, as I mentioned, are white with green words. Some of those phrases are: Tasty coffee, treat yourself, we serve specialty coffee and obviously the logo of the brand. On one door they had the menu divided into three sections: coffees, breads and cold brew (the last part of the menu definitely has a very peculiar name).

La Ventanita sells specialty coffee to go, and that makes it stand out from other coffee shops. I have written repeatedly that few places in Barquisimeto offer this type of coffee on their menu. In my case, I ordered a coffee with milk. It won't take more than 5 minutes before they prepare this coffee, and you can drink it.

It is unusual to find a cafeteria with a pick-up concept. I dare say it is the only one in the city of Barquisimeto. This coffee shop has become so popular in the last year that everybody knows the small window that characterizes it in one of the most emblematic and long-lived avenues of the city of Barquisimeto.

How was the coffee? I recommend it, the specialty coffee was very good. Besides, the day I bought it, it was raining. A perfect combination due to the environmental conditions.

The bill for this service was 4 USDT or HBD, paid in Venezuelan legal tender. My purchase was two coffees and two Venezuelan catalinas (a kind of bread made from panela, rapadura or piloncillo).

There are cafés of all styles, there are places worth enjoying. There is, above all, something to drink. Indeed, I have not felt emotionally well because of what is happening in Venezuela. These are critical, painful and heart-shrinking days. Even so, I'm here sharing what I like. Has normality returned? I don't think so.

Each and every Venezuelan is in a state of anxiety. The level of cups of coffee I've had every day is overwhelming, but I know that this juncture will pass. There are more of us good people. Los últimos días en Venezuela han sido muy tristes. A pesar de tener muchas cosas de las que escribir, no he podido debido a mi estado emocional. Éste será un post rápido de un café que compré en una nueva cafetería en Barquisimeto llamada Ventanita, que se encuentra ubicada en la Avenida Vargas entre carrera 25 y 26.

Las compras fueron un poco rápidas, como iba en coche con mi tío, tenía trabajo que hacer en casa pendiente y no pude quedarme mucho tiempo. Si tengo la oportunidad de ir de nuevo, tal vez tome más fotos y haga una nueva reseña para compartir jajajaja. Por el momento, escribiré lo que percibí ese día.

El concepto del local llama mucho la atención, ya que está diseñado de manera minimalista y con los elementos necesarios para funcionar. No extralimita, es simple y eso hace que llame profundamente la atención.

Debo destacar que quería visitar ésta cafetería desde hace un tiempo debido a sus publicaciones en Instagram. Ellos hacen un marketing mezclado con un tipo de música en específico; es decir, salsa, merengue, jazz, entre otros. Mantienen ése toque culturalista y hacen que lo moderno con el pasado se vuelva nostálgico.

La atención en ésta cafetería es agradable y al ser un local nuevo te sientes en casa. Te dan ganas de volver. Además, destaca porque el servicio no es para consumirlo en el lugar; sino para llevar. Compras y vas caminando con él para disfrutarlo o lo consumes en tu carro particular (ése fue mi caso).

Las paredes del local, como mencioné, son blancas y con palabras de color verde. Algunas de esas frases son: Café sabroso, date un gusto, servimos café de especialidad y evidentemente el logo de la marca. En una puerta tenían el menú dividido en tres secciones: cafés, panes y bien frío (la última parte del menú tiene definitivamente un nombre muy peculiar).

La Ventanita vende café de especialidad para llevar y eso le hace resaltar de otras cafeterías. He escrito reiteradamente que pocos lugares en Barquisimeto ofrecen en su menú éste tipo de café. En mi caso, ordené un café con leche. No pasarán más de 5 minutos para que preparen éste café y lo puedas tomar.

Es poco usual encontrar una cafetería con un concepto pick-up. Me atrevo a decir que es la única en la ciudad de Barquisimeto. Ésta cafetería se ha vuelto tan popular en el último año que todo el mundo conoce la pequeña ventana que le caracteriza en una de las avenidas más emblemáticas y longevas de la ciudad de Barquisimeto.

¿Cómo estaba el café? Lo recomiendo, el café de especialidad fue muy bueno. Además, el día que lo compré estaba lloviendo. Una combinación perfecta debido a las condiciones ambientales.

La cuenta de éste servicio fue de 4 USDT o HBD pagados en moneda de curso legal venezolana. Mi compra fue de dos cafés y dos catalinas venezolanas (una especie de pan hecho a base de panela, rapadura o piloncillo).

Hay cafeterías de todos los estilos, hay lugares que valen la pena disfrutar. Existe, sobre todo, algo que tomar. En efecto, no me he sentido emocionalmente bien por lo que sucede en Venezuela. Son días críticos, dolorosos y que achican el corazón. Aun así, estoy acá compartiendo lo que me gusta. ¿Ha vuelto la normalidad? No lo creo.

Todos y cada uno de los venezolanos estamos en un estado de ansiedad. El nivel de tazas de café que he tomado cada día es abrumador, pero sé que esta coyuntura pasará. Los buenos somos más. Me desvié un poco del tema principal, pero espero que disfrutes de la lectura. Amo el café como amo mi país y la libertad.
