The workday has been very demanding the last few days. Between paperwork, talking to the accountant and work, I hadn't had a little time left to go out for a nice cup of coffee, I managed to do it last night.

Yes, as you read, it was at night. I should also note that this month was my mom's birthday, and today is my uncle's birthday. I have commented several times in this blog that I work with my uncle; I already bought his present. Also, this all happened while I was listening to One Direction intensely because of Liam's passing.

Anyway, in order to relax, I decided with my brother to have a coffee at Zootea inside the Sambil Mall in the city of Barquisimeto, located on Avenue Venezuela and Avenue Bracamonte. My brother and I went to the Mall to buy some equipment for our work.

Zootea is one of the coffee shops where I wanted to have a good coffee for a long time. Two people recommended me to have a coffee here, one is an active member of Hive. This coffee shop has a peculiar concept: Its design is inspired by Korean culture and K-pop.

I am a fan of BTS. I also like the music of EXO, GOT7, iKON, Astro, Wanna One, WINNER, and SHINee to name a few groups. Going to this coffee shop was relaxing because it made me think about the music I liked other than One Direction. Connection!

One thing I have to describe about Zootea is that it is located at the entrance of the Sambil Mall, so it has a direct view of many elements of the venue and Mall itself. Everything is connected and internally related very well.

One of the most striking elements is the furniture. High tables and chairs related to small furniture that invite you to sit and enjoy a pleasant experience. Likewise, Zootea's facade has elements that describe Korean culture very well. Korea is characterized by beautiful and stylized things. All those elements were there.

In order to order a coffee at Zootea, I had to go inside, where the vendors and menu were located. There, I had the opportunity to observe the place from different dimensions. I liked that they had in wood each of the products they sell.

On the box there was a phrase that said Yummy Thai. The typography and color were lovely. Also, on the top where I was standing there were boxes with artificial vines. Each of these elements generated a cozy touch.

Zootea is really a small coffee shop, it does not have a very large space; but everything was used very well to connect and give that modern touch that characterizes the South Korean locals. Even the way they announce the price of the dollar rate is in line with the design of the elements of the coffee shop.

The table where we sat had two small posters and an artificial centerpiece. I would have liked them to be natural, but that was the reality.

I should point out that I had to carry the menu to the table for my brother to decide as well. The menu has a lovely presentation; it is made of plastic in a rectangular shape. My brother and I agreed to order an Affogato coffee, but I was told at the cashier's desk that they did not have this coffee available. The salesman also gave me the Mochi menu. I thought about ordering some, but gave up, as it was late at night and it would be too sweet for me.

Not being able to order the Affogato coffee, we opted for our second choice, which was the Mocaccino coffee, but this one had a particular detail, and that was that they prepared it with Chantilli Cream. However, this coffee had even more surprises.

After ordering and paying at the cashier for the two coffees, I told the salesman to bring them to our table, and we waited for about 10 minutes. During that time, my brother and I talked about some work stuff and everything we had accomplished this year. There are a lot of things to do, some videos, designs and a business plan for 2025. One step at a time, as I accomplish one, the next. That's what we talked about.

The two Mocaccino Coffees were placed on our table after 10 minutes, and I was surprised by a few elements. The first was its size, the second was that it had chocolate, the third was the Chantillí Cream and the fifth was the cocoa powder it had. Besides, this coffee is to be taken with a sorbet or pitillo (that's how we call it in Venezuela).

The decoration of the top was not totally aesthetic; but the elements on the table clearly indicate the beauty and shape of the place.

The taste of the Mocaccino coffee, was delicious, I would say delightful. No sugar was necessary. The coffee only cost 3 USD or HBD. I was surprised that this type of coffee with so much chocolate was so modestly priced and enjoyable.

It is not a cold coffee, but a totally hot one. For me, it was perfect to drink it in that place, enjoying the taste and the view. Most importantly, I was able to relax. I paid for the two coffees for a total of 6 USD, or HBD, in Venezuelan legal tender. I hope you can go and enjoy the experience at Zootea.
