This weekend was just another weekend of enjoyment and merriment. My close friend decided to name his child and invited all of us for a celebration. Sitting out and having to drink and dine together strengthens our friendship and energizes the bond between us.

A naming ceremony is just a day set aside for parents of a child to give a name to their newborn baby. It is usually a big ceremony where the parents of the child will invite friends and family members to witness the name of which their children will bear.
Cómo se hace la ceremonia del nombre en mi cultura. Una ceremonia de bautizo es un día reservado para que los padres de un niño den un nombre a su recién nacido. Suele ser una gran ceremonia a la que los padres del niño invitan a amigos y familiares para que sean testigos del nombre que llevarán sus hijos.
In some families, the naming ceremony is usually a big event. And at the same time, it serves as a period of dedicating the child to God. It happens that the man of God will be present as well as the family members of both parents.

This celebrant has been our childhood friend, last year he got married. The first to do so among us. So this year the wife was put to bed. We had to put ourselves together and get some drinks to support him. We bought some bottles of drinks, and he gave us food. We had a good time together.
It was a nice time being together.
