I have to say that these three rulesets are some of my favorite rules separately. Especially little monsters. Combined however they pose a few difficulties in making a winning team. When your choices are limited by size, attack and then weakened by earthquake it is hard to combine them as most cards won't by very strong in this scenario.

Starting line-up

With only earth and death splinters active i didn't have a huge choice of summoner and my opponent was the same. At least their health minus one has an effect on my team weakening it compared to the magic buffs which are worthless in melee only.

I did what i could with what i have. Hill giant is a very good tank for three mana and can take a lot of damage as well as stun other cards. It often comes in very handy especially in these low mana battles. I have a sneak and an opportunity monster to spread the attack and one flying monster in the middle which i hope can outlast the others when earthquake strikes.

My opponent was thinking along the same lines and put a healing monster in the middle for the same reason. Just try to outlast the other player rather than win by power. Sometimes that is the most important thing.

First kill.

We traded a few sneak attacks in the first round without any kills but the problem with this ruleset is the earthquake to follow which takes two off every monster. That's severe in a match where all of the monsters have a low health and i started with minus one from their summoner.

The first kill cam with my last monster swiftly followed by their rear monster as well. It also did a lot of damage across shields and health to every other monster on the field.

Round two.

Round two was carnage from the second earthquake. A lot of the monsters were already weakened and then the sneak attacks knocked out another three monsters in quick succession.

Nobody has the advantage yet as they are dropping on all sides but the next round of earthquake is going to bring us close to the end. My flying monster and their healing monster are both full health so our strategies are working. Who wins is probably going to come down to a very small difference.

Finishing line-up.

As expected the start of round three was the end of the road for two more monsters and looks like the end of the road for this match very shortly.

Three monsters to two in their favor. Our two trump cards still in play. Hard to call it. I lost my tank and they lost their reach monster in the next round.

My best hope form here is that my speeds flying monster can avoid the last few attacks and take the win because if they can connect i'm out. Luckily for me that's how it played out.

Dodge and dodge again. This allowed me to connect with a couple of melee attacks and combined with earthquake i killed off their last card over a couple of rounds. A tough win but a good win.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
