I've been in the Splinterlands game for over seven years now and have built up a nice collection over that time.
Nothing spectacular but a solid beta collection up through chaos legion.

I'm not a huge fan of the newer cards which IMO are very overpowered and prefer to focus on the older cards and wild mode.

When I can I try to pick up a few cards from the market from my tournament winnings and SPS interest but it's a slow grind for the most part.

Luckily I won a black foil card in one of the draws which has just given me some extra buying power in the market.

I could start picking up some of the latest set but I just don't love how the card shave gone so started with some of the older cards that I've always wanted.

Maxing out beta cards to me is so much more fun that buying new ones as they are so hard to get and to max out. There are a few from the past that I've always wanted so started with gelatinous cube which is such a handy neutral to won and Sacred Unicorn which i had in a level three already but wanted to flex a bit.

I'm also eyeing up a few gold beta summoners which have gotten down to a reasonable price. I have maxed out two already and would love to complete the set at some stage. They are great for tournaments and for my collection power to enter more tournaments where most of my winnings come from since ranked is all glint now.

I've always wanted to max out these gold cards since the early days of the game and missed my chance before the big pump in 2021. Since then all the prices have been coming down slowly and I did max two of them but there is still four more to go.

With all that said, I did pick up a few of the cheapest modern cards just to help win ranked matches. Just the pricing makes it hard to pay $25 to get one beta card or eight modern cards for the same price with more power.

It still leaves me with $50 bucks to spend and time to browse for a few good deals in the older section.
