I'm excited to claim rewards again.

Not as exciting as when we could pull beta packs or chaos packs. Then unbound reward cards. Then soul bound cards, multiple soul bound cards. Then random card draws.

I know that designing a sustainable game economy from scratch isn't easy and there has been a lot of experimenting over the past few years

The excitement level kept dropping every time as the value of the rewards kept dropping but they couldn't keep handing out high level rewards and not see bot farms earning and selling them off straight away. That's why soul bound came to be and i have no problem with them once they can be sold at some stage down the line.

The last update to include the glint shop was very underwhelming at the end of season when i bought a few draws, received poor cards and that was it for the rest of the season.

Especially as i have already maxed out my common and 90% of my rare rewards. The chances of getting an epic or legendary are still tiny and recycling lower cards doesn't go very far to try and buy more draws.

I held back some end of season rewards and had 50,000 glint left to try the new system.

Bought 14 Epics.

Then 60 rare draws.

No crappy commons and lots of cards that i actually need. Now all i want is to get more glint and keep trying to max out the rest of the set. That's the result that we should want form rewards. Getting people to play more and to earn more. Building their deck and getting further into the game.

That's what gaming should be all about.

Spending hours, days and weeks progressing up the levels and having a certain addiction to the world that you are in. It's how all of the biggest games operate. An addiction to winning and collecting assets. Trying to become the top player across the board.

It's not as easy in a play to earn since some people have been in since the earliest days and have a big advantage but at least in terms of rewards we can all strive to build a full collection for free.

I'm a big fan of the new rarity draws and can't wait until we get to the next set of reward cards somewhere in the future.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
