It’s my birthday 💖! ...honestly, I wasn't planning to say anything today. I have been feeling depressed lately over so many things unfolding in my family, but on second thought, I decided to pause, breathe in and out, smile, and express my gratitude to God for keeping me alive despite the whole storm...life is indeed a precious gift.
People are everything indeed! When you have good people around you and God by your side, you have everything. Some people noticed that it was already 12 noon today and I didn't even say a word in my status, and they came asking why I am cold on my bday. I opened up to two of them, and of course, that spot was the beginning of the strength I got through their words of encouragement and reassurance. I wanted to just lie low and reply to birthday wishes flying everywhere in Discord, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc., but they reminded me that even through our ups and downs in life, we have 1001 reasons to express our gratitude to God for life.
I embraced this realization and genuinely thank God for my life and for journeying with me since 365 days ago with many blessings, many wins, and breakthroughs. I wouldn't deny that there were moments of silent tears and moments of challenges, but His grace carried me through. He always shows up for me and holds me together through the storm. I know that we weren't promised a life of a bed of roses, but what makes the difference is that we have a God that answers when we call. For this, I am forever grateful to God!
And to my hive family, words enough can't express how happy I am towards the massive love I have been receiving from many of you since 12 am today. It surprises me to know that many Hivers know my birthday by heart. I came online, went through Discord, and was in awe of your surprises. They meant so much to me. I laughed so hard today already, and that's awesome. Thanks for the many fiat gifts, Hive gifts, messages, calls, warm prayers, and lots more. My images are just flying in many of you guys' WhatsApp statuses with words that melt my heart. What did I do to deserve this kind of love? Anyways, thanks a million times, you all.
And to my lovely twin brother, thanks for all you do for me...where will I just start? I am blessed for the gift of you in my life. God will keep you for me, Twinny!
Finally, thank you @george-dee for always taking out your time to design my birthday pictures without asking. The love is indeed massive, and I don't take it all for granted.
Today, I celebrate life, I celebrate resilience, I celebrate the gift of motherhood through the years, and I celebrate God's goodness upon my life.
I don't know what tomorrow holds for me, but I am positive that God's grace will always pave ways for me and grant me increase on every side.
