Every year, all around our world, there are different holidays that are celebrated at different times in the year. These holidays give us the opportunity to take time off work and relax, connect with our family and friends, and bond more with our loved ones. There's the summer holiday, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Eid el-Fitr holidays, and others. Out of the many holidays in a year, my favorite is the Christmas holiday. I am always looking forward to this holiday, and I will tell you why...
The Christmas period is that holiday that is celebrated at the end of the year. It's usually a bit of a lengthy holiday, which offers me an opportunity to reflect well on how my journey from January to December has been so far, analyze my goals and achievements, and then take time to plan ahead for the next year. This holiday does not only offer me this great opportunity mentioned above, but it's also one of the exciting periods where lots of fun activities take place. For example, in my hometown, where I usually travel during the Christmas holiday, as well as many other places, many of my relatives usually reserve their celebrations until that period of the year because they know that a good number of people will travel from the city to their hometown for the celebrations. Ceremonies like weddings, traditional marriages, birthdays, celebrations of life, coronations, and all kinds of festivals are being held during this holiday period. A lot of my relatives, whom I haven't seen for the past year, usually come home, and meeting them on this holiday is usually something I crave to behold.
This holiday gives us an opportunity to make merry, eat and drink together, go on a tour with loved ones, honor invitations together, and be happy. My family also has a thanksgiving tradition every Christmas holiday, and it's usually an experience to behold. This Thanksgiving is designed to create beautiful memories among our family members. Any Christmas holiday that I didn't make it to travel home, I usually feel different because I know that I will miss loads of fun activities at home.
What better way to relax and have fun than getting involved in those activities with your loved ones? Spend quality time with them. Eat my native delicacies, which I hardly find in the city where I reside. Other holidays are great, but these are the reasons why I choose Christmas as my favorite holiday of the year. I can feel the breeze of Christmas already. The Jingle Bells songs are already playing on TVs. I am getting in the mood for the Christmas holiday gradually, and hopefully, it will be a nice experience with me and my loved ones.
