How would my digital life be if it were made into a movie? Not only boring, it seems like if it were a commercial movie, it wouldn't sell either. This year I decided not to connect with many people on social media. I no longer use Instagram and Facebook. I have logic and let's make it into a movie plot.
Openning Phase
I live in a village and very isolated. At that time, I finished high school. all my friends decided to work and continue their studies. I started exploring social media to make friends. At that time, I found a writing community and I started participating in writing competitions. I have many new friends and connect with many people. I feel alive and connected with fun social media.
But, I started meeting men who said they fell in love with me just by looking at social media. I started to be afraid of that. I thought, is it true that men easily fall in love just by looking at profiles? on social media, I use my best photos. I don't want to be seen as a fictional human.
Dark Phase
From social media, I can connect with many people. I also write to introduce myself. I started writing on various platforms, until finally my writing went viral and was read by many people. I experienced a little fraud. Several times there was access to my social media and internet banking.
I also saw various people who went viral and their careers because of information spread on social media. One of them is my friend. He went to Israel and his photo was uploaded on social media. My friend was bullied by people all over Indonesia. His career was also destroyed. That incident really scared me.
Final Phase
Closing Instagram and Facebook social media is an important decision for me right now. Why did those two incidents make me wonder if I need to play social media? Social media is very deadly. I am only connected on Twitter and even then with only a few people. Of course I only use the chat application for work.
