This morning, my son Ian was watching a video on TV. The video showed people living in such tents in the forest and having various adventures. Well, after watching it, he got it in his mind and since waking up, he has been determined to have such a tent.
Children's such fantasies are really wonderful. They quickly want to play with whatever they see on TV or around them in their own imagination. My son's sweet nature cannot be ignored, so I thought of quickly creating a play area for him using the things at home.
As the idea goes, so does the work. I started the process of making a tent by using the sofa in the drawing room. No separate wooden or bamboo structure was needed, I took an umbrella and then opened it and placed it on a sofa and using a colorful sheet and a few clips to attach clothes, I created a beautiful tent shape on the sofa. This little kingdom of Ian's play was created in a very short time using home methods. The beautiful design on the sheet and the color combination of the blue cushions on the sofa created a very nice atmosphere. The sheet was clipped very tightly so that it would not fall off, so that he could play safely inside.
After the tent was completely built, the joy in Ian's eyes and the wide smile on his face were worth seeing. He went inside his newly made secret room with great enthusiasm and sat down. Children usually love to curl up and play in such small and confined spaces. Ian is no exception. He went inside his new tent and sat down quite comfortably and started spending time in his own way. Seeing his innocent joy, my heart also felt better in an instant.
The immense joy that children hide in these small things cannot be believed without seeing the innocent smiles on their faces. Not an expensive toy, but a little bit of time and creativity from parents can become the greatest gift in the world for them. This small joyful moment created at home in the midst of busy city life has made our whole day much more beautiful and lively.
