Yesterday afternoon, I went to the traditional local fair in our area with my children. A festive atmosphere greeted us as soon as we stepped onto the fair grounds. The hustle and bustle, colorful shops, and the joyful sounds of children all around created a different and pleasant atmosphere. The main attraction of the fair was the clay handicrafts and toy shops, which many other visitors like us had gathered to see.

When we went there, we saw all kinds of clay items made by the skillful hands of potters. The shops were decorated with beautiful clay pots, pots, molds for making pitha, and banks of various colors. The brightly colored clay dolls, birds, elephants, horses, and small toy bowls, which were beautifully carved, especially caught our attention. These handicrafts, which had a touch of rural tradition, were so attractive to look at that my children were very happy and excited to see them. The familiar smell of clay from childhood and the colorful dolls created a new enthusiasm in them.

It was a great experience for the children at the fair. They were looking around each shop and touching the colorful clay toys with joy. Seeing the unwavering smiles and unquenchable joy on their faces filled my heart in an instant. It is a great satisfaction for any parent to see children enjoying themselves so happily, forgetting the fatigue of busy city life. Their boundless joy made the atmosphere of the fair even more special for us.

Along with these clay artworks, there were some other traditional items on display at the fair. Various baskets, kulas and colorful baskets made of bamboo and rattan were arranged in another stall. In addition, a beautiful red balloon seller stood in one corner of the fair, from whom the children happily bought balloons. All in all, the fair premises became a gathering place for Bengali folk culture.
I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful time spent with the children and the experience of visiting the fair. In this era of mechanization, it was a great pleasure for me to introduce our children to this ever-familiar folk art made of clay. It was not just a simple excursion, but a great opportunity to see the aesthetic form of our folk tradition up close and bring a smile to the faces of the children, which will remain indelible in our memories for a long time.
