People coming from the various municipalities in eastern Sucre state pass through this promenade, and from there, they can head to other parts of the city; from my perspective, this promenade is a kind of welcome or calling card that tells every visitor that here they can find many places to enjoy. Once inside Paseo Libertador, we realize that it is quite wide and has U-turns at either end, allowing it to serve as a traffic distributor. It is also a very attractive place for recreation and for moments of meditation. We notice that it is surrounded by yellow curbs, which are interrupted by wide walkways that provide access to both directions of Carúpano Avenue. These walkways are paved with gray cobblestones, and along the sides are borders made of ceramic pieces and stones.
The wide walkways connect to narrower walkways, built from the same material. The narrow walkways are long, and in certain areas they connect to benches, which have a very distinctive appearance: they are star-shaped, made of concrete, and painted blue. The benches are built in circular shapes with bases of chipped stone; their walkways connect to the long walkways. Throughout the entire area, we notice that there is plenty of shade.
The narrower walkways—as I mentioned earlier—cover a great distance, connect with the larger walkways, and allow us to reach the central structure, which is the main focal point of the promenade. It is a beautiful and colorful fountain, the top of which bears the name of the state of Sucre. The name is on both sides of a blue wall with sections in two colors; on one side is a cut-out image of a tree, and on the other side is the shape of a tree.
The letters, the wall, and the floor that support them are made of concrete; at the base, there are colored lights that add a beautiful touch to the fountain at night; naturally, the lower part serves as a pool where the water from the fountain flows. To reach the fountain, we must climb a two-step platform, also made of concrete, with its respective risers.
The walk is extremely long, and where there are no walkways or concrete, we can see very lush vegetation. The areas around this spot feature well-maintained lawns, a variety of low-growing plants, and several large trees that provide ample shade. The vegetation surrounding the fountain is beautiful, and it’s definitely a green space worth admiring. You couldn’t ask for more beauty and relaxation—come to Paseo Libertador and leave your stress behind.
Along the promenade, we notice an important detail: there are concrete structures that serve as road barriers and are located along the edges of the structure. In addition, there’s the lighting—LED lights mounted on the lampposts—along with the colorful lighting at the fountain. This promenade is truly a spectacular sight; you can enjoy pleasant moments there at any time of day without any problems. Come to Cumana and enjoy everything it has to offer. Ya dentro del Paseo Libertador; nos damos cuenta que es bastante amplio y en sus extremos tiene retornos, por lo que cumple con sus funciones de distribuidor vial. De igual manera, es un sitio muy atractivo para la recreación y para pasar momentos de meditación. Observamos que está rodeada por brocales de color amarillo, los cuales se interrumpen por las amplias caminerías, que permiten llegar a ambos sentidos de la Avenida Carúpano. Dichas caminerías están construidas con adoquines de color gris y a los lados encontramos bordes elaborados con trozos de cerámica y piedras.
Las caminerías grandes se conectan con caminerías más angostas, construidas con el mismo material. Las caminerías angostas son largas y en determinadas áreas se conectan con bancos, los cuales tienen apariencias muy peculiares; tienen forma de estrella, construidos en concreto y pintados en color azul. Los bancos están construidos sobre formas circulares con bases de piedra picada; su caminería se conecta con las caminerías largas. Por todo el sector, observamos que podemos estar bajo mucha sombra.
Las caminerías más delgadas; como dije antes, cubren gran distancia, se conectan con las caminerías grandes y nos permiten llegar hasta la estructura central, que es el eje principal del paseo. Se trata de una hermosa y colorida fuente, cuya parte superior presenta el nombre del estado Sucre. El nombre está a ambos lados de una pared de color azul y tramos de colores duales; a los lados una imagen cortada de un árbol y del otro lado la forma de un árbol.
Las letras, la pared y el piso que los contiene, están construidos en concreto; en su base tenemos luces de colores, que en las noches le dan ese toque hermoso a la fuente; lógicamente, tiene su parte inferior como una piscina donde recorre el agua emitida por la fuente. Para llegar a la fuente; debemos subir una base de dos escalones, igualmente construida en concreto con sus respectivos separadores.
El paseo es sumamente extenso y donde no hay caminerías ni concreto, podemos observar una vegetación muy abundante. Los espacios que corresponden a este punto, poseen gramas bien cuidadas, variada vegetación de bajo tamaño y varios árboles de gran tamaño que ofrecen una extensión de sombra importante. La vegetación que bordea la fuente es hermosa y definitivamente, es un área verde digna de admirar. No podemos pedir más belleza y desestres; te vienes al Paseo Libertador y te liberas de las malas vibras.
Alrededor del paseo observamos un detalle importante; tenemos unas formas de concreto que funcionan como defensa vial y se ubican en los bordes de la estructura. Por otra parte; tenemos el apartado de la iluminación, el cual está presente en los postes con sus luces led; todo esto, aparte de la iluminación colorida que se ubica en la fuente. De verdad que este paseo es un total espectáculo; allí podemos pasar momentos gratos a cualquier hora del día sin ningún tipo de problemas.
