I hope you are well, I am well, thank God, officially on vacation, for the rest of the month, well, regarding the university, because from Hive and not from you, because there is a lot of content to share and a lot of things to do around here.
Today's post I want to share with you one of my last activities for this year as Student Center, and it was the Carnetization of more than 300 new students, who received their identification as UCLA university students.
This process is extremely important for our students, especially for the new students, who are automatically the largest population without ID, most of the regular students already have their ID cards, except for some who have not taken advantage of the days as you are or have lost or thrown it away.
Having the card is important inside and outside the university, outside allows the student to expedite procedures that only with the student card guarantees that he/she is a university student, on the other hand, in most public transport has a discount of half for just being a student showing their card.
Now inside the university is practically for everything and much, from the use of transportation, dining room and to enter the facilities of the university that are many, from the rectorate, to other deanships that are near or want to visit, it is better to be identified and not pass as a visitor.
I like to do things in an orderly fashion and with time, so I have been thinking about doing this with time until the day of the event, even the new students had not yet started and I knew more or less when it could happen. The first thing is to talk to the prof in charge of control of studies to know the days that can be done, and after knowing the availability we agreed that it would be done on Tuesday 10.
Already from there, it consists of having a work team with the same commitment, as a Center I have from the directive as well as the other members of my Student Center to do it. Having the list of the new admissions, what I did was to start creating 4 groups where the 4 careers were for new students.
Then I designated from my center 4 delegates in charge of those students who received the money per race in 4 accounts, and then deposited it in the account of the financial secretary of the center, they would have a week to collect the money and then two days before the day, draw accounts and deposit the money in total, with the number of students to carnetizar, in total there were 306.
It was quite satisfying not only to see that they attended, but that they all attended, from 7:30am to 12pm, in a timely manner that lasted the process, without delays or inconveniences, in payments or students who were not there, which sometimes happens, but I like to cover all possible gaps. Thanks to my team and the work of a good organization, it could be done without any inconvenience.

Espero se encuentre muy bien, yo bien, gracias a Dios, oficialmente de vacaciones, por el resto del mes, bueno, con respecto a la universidad, porque de Hive y de ustedes no, porque se viene, bastante contenido que compartir y bastante cosas que hacer por aquí.
El post de hoy quiero compartirles una de mis últimas gestiones por este año como Centro de Estudiantes, y fue la Carnetización de más 300 estudiantes de Nuevo ingreso, quienes recibieron su identificación como estudiantes universitarios de la UCLA.
Este proceso es sumamente importante para nuestros estudiantes, sobre todo para los nuevo ingreso, que automáticamente al ingresar son la mayor población sin carne, la mayoría de los estudiantes regulares ya tienen su carnet a excepciones de algunos que no han aprovechado las jornadas como estás o lo han extraviado o botado.
Tener el carnet es importante dentro y fuera de la universidad, fuera le permite al estudiante agilizar trámites que solo con el carnet de estudiante garantiza que es estudiante universitario, por otro lado, en la mayoría de los transportes públicos tiene un descuento de la mitad por solo ser estudiante mostrando su carnet.
Ahora dentro de la universidad es prácticamente para todo y mucho, desde el uso del transporte, comedor y para entrar en las instalaciones de la universidad que son muchas, desde rectorado, a otros decanatos que estén cerca o quieras visitar, es mejor estar identificado y no pasar como visitante.
Ahora bien, hacer una jornada de carnetización no es fácil, lleva un trabajo detrás y una planificación también, a mi me gusta hacer las cosas ordenadas y con tiempo, por lo que llevo pensando a hacer esto con tiempo hasta el día de la jornada, incluso los nuevo ingreso aún no habían iniciado y ya sabía más o menos cuando se podía dar. Lo primero es hablar con la prof encargada de control de estudios para poder saber los días en que se pueden hacer, y después de saber la disponibilidad acordamos que se haría el martes 10.
Ya a partir de allí, consta de tener un equipo de trabajo con el mismo compromiso, como Centro tengo desde la directiva como a los demás integrantes de mi Centro de estudiantes para hacerlo. Teniendo la lista de los nuevos ingresos, lo que hice fue empezar a crear 4 grupos donde estuviesen las 4 carreras para estudiantes nuevos.
Luego designar desde mi centro a 4 delegados encargados de esos estudiantes quienes recibieron el dinero por carrera en 4 cuentas, para luego depositarla en la cuenta de la secretaría de finanzas del centro, tendrían una semana para recoger el dinero y de allí a los dos días antes de la jornada, sacar cuentas y depositar el dinero en total, con la cantidad de estudiantes a carnetizar, en total fueron 306.
Fue bastante satisfactorio no solo ver que asistieron, sino que asistieron todos, desde las 7:30am hasta las 12pm, de manera puntual que duró el proceso, sin retrasos o inconvenientes, en los pagos o en estudiantes que no estuviesen, que a veces suele suceder, pero me gusta cubrir todos los huecos posibles. Gracias a mi equipo y al trabajo de una buena organización, se pudo dar sin ningún tipo de inconvenientes.
