You see the topic of self-love is so underrated and at some point unspoken of (taboo) some people see it as a taboo, before I go any further I would like to explain what self-love is,
Self-love in layman's terms is about embracing and appreciating yourself regardless of what it is.
A lot of the time, I had insecurities growing up, and it wasn't funny, not until I decided to let it go and focus on what is more important, and that is "ME", my number one insecurity is my teeth. Yeah, I have heard about people who commit suicide because they were mocked about their insecurities, and some were bullied to their deaths.
I have a very nice physique, not to be proud though, and a lot of people praised my hair and hairline, the only things that were my insecurities were that I have coloured teeth and a slight bow leg. I fought with that for years, and at some point, I just decided to let everything go because I'm not the only one with coloured teeth in my family, I'm not the only one with a very slight (emphasis on "very slight") bow leg in my family. My dad and two other siblings have slight bow legs very slight. My mum and two other siblings have coloured teeth.
One day I thought to myself, I did not give birth to myself, I did not create my teeth by myself and I did not choose my family, so therefore I would not allow whatever people are saying to affect me.
All through my secondary school day, I don't think I ever laughed with my teeth open, but nowadays I don't care because I have to love myself for myself, nobody will do that for me, not even my partner, or was it when I was constantly reminded I have a big head?
The bottom line is, in all you do, what did I say? "In all you do" do not let people's opinion of you rule your life, sometimes their opinions may be needed but don't make it the rules you use for your life.
LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF I repeat LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF ❣️
Do you know I have been bullied for my height? Height I took after my father. If you like no love yourself. Also self-love does not give you the license to be a nuisance in the society, let's balance these things.
