Growing up I and my siblings were not really allowed to go out or play with other children in the compound or neighborhood. We only had a few friends, friends that were hand picked by my parents (the selected few) so there wasn't really any time to play around and have many friends.
Now the question here is,
What was your favorite toy as a child, and why?
Growing up I didn't really have the privilege of using toys yeah it was scarce in my house, based on superstitious beliefs I guess. My grandma once said teddy bears are possessed which may or may not be true, but that aside we weren't really familiar with toys.
Then came this particular opportunity and we all grabbed it with both hands, an opportunity where my uncle(my mum's younger brother) who stays abroad brought toys for us then although he still stays abroad but there was joy in the house amongst us the kids we prayed earnestly that my parents allowed us to use the toys and they obliged. Everyone (kids) in my house got different toys , mine was a teddy bear and at the same time a bag. I was so happy because finally I got to own a teddy bear that is mine and mine alone and it also doubles as a bag.
I was so happy, finally I have a toy or should I say a teddy bear/ bag 😊.
