The social media space is a very wonderful place to be, a place where the good and bad goes hand in hand, a space where you could sit at your corner and talk, see or send stuffs to anyone around the world which is somehow hectic if it were to be done physically. Also there is something called screen time no matter the age until you are an adult, eve adults need to be talked to sometimes, you see me writing this post I'm very guilty of being addicted to social media, until I started doing what I'm doing currently.

The adolescent mind is a place where everything you plant grows, they want to explore new things, so what they see others doing on social media and all. Therefore it is the duty of the parent to watch what and what their kids do on social media. Like I said I'm also in the social media space and I see a lot of things adolescent does on that space, yes we would not push aside the fact that social media is good but adolescents of nowadays are inquisitive they want to know anything and everything, from there they will start getting pressured to do what others are doing "the mind of the adolescent is a place where everything you plant grows".
Growing up I only heard of peer pressure, now it's social media pressure, do not get me wrong social media has a lot of good sides that we have not even seen, to mention but a few; social media helps us to interact with friends and families that are faraway, it helps with job opportunities, it helps with learning and training, it makes work a lot easier (for business owners it helps to catch the attention of people and draw them to your business) etc .
Still there are vices associated with social media and that happens when it is over used "too much of everything is bad". I have heard someone say when her child starts using a phone she's going to put parental control password on the phone, I laughed because I know a six year old who can disable that thing and has done that a lot of times because he has access to the mum's phone. That part might work in the long run but I think orientation and follow up matters a lot, tell the child the dos and don'ts of that phone and follow up to make sure the child sees it through but please ๐ don't be suffocating, don't suffocate the child or else irritation sets in.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you soon. ๐ค
