While In secondary school I was outspoken, I was the girl who answers questions in class. I attended a school that was sort of a missionary/private school, don't ask me how I don't know. I was in that school from junior secondary school 1 to senior secondary school 1 for those in Nigeria we know ourselves. I was in that school together with my elder brother and younger cousin.

Now the main story is that, the agriculture science teacher that's what we call it over here. He came into the class as usual to teach us and that day our topic was on SPECIES OF FISH under fish farming and I being the chameleon in class, chameleon in the sense that I can be mischievous, quiet, calm, outspoken depends on what's on the menu.

That particular day of all days I decided to to be mischievous and my agric master as he was popularly called is a no-nonsense man and he was like “you, yes you name a specie of fish'' , before that I had three friends with my brother let's say four and they were all boys 😁 back to business. So while I was jolted from my mischievous act I just shouted BLAPIA due to fear and that was it, there was a great uproar of laughter behind me cause my desk was at the front. The name stuck for ages even after school the name still goes on and on. It felt as if the ground should open up for me to go in, according to this new trend my steeze reduced🤭.

The funny thing was I meant to say Tilapia fish. That was what was in my consciousness but BLAPIA came out and that name stuck for a very long time especially from the boys in my clique except my brother. I tried explaining countless times but there was no evidence 😊.

As of last year when I went back to visit someone in my secondary school area I just heard the name BLAPIA I was shocked 😲. I left secondary school for almost ten years now but the name was still there. It was quite an embarrassing moment of my life.

See you tomorrow. Same time, same account, same writer.
