An underutilized character with so much potential. He's one of the 3 hedgehogs (see picture below) but the reality is that Silver is not on the level of Sonic or Shadow. Silver is a furniture third wheel. Silver wasn't even a boss in Shadow's story in Sonic x Shadow Generations even though Silver & Shadow fought each other in Sonic 06.
Silver The Hedgehog needs his own games & character development & progression. Silver's existence began 200 years in the future after Sonic & Shadow. Silver sounds like a child & lacks maturity. Sega needs to come out with a game about Silver's origins before Iblis destroyed the world. (Refer to Sonic 06' if you are not familiar with Iblis.) Then, Sega needs to come out with another game resembling Sonic Heroes where Silver is the head of his trio which is an opportunity to showcase his maturity. We know that Blaze The Cat would flank Silver but who would be the third member of Silver's trio? Sega also needs to create good villains for Silver.
I think that Silver would fit perfectly in a game like Sonic Frontiers. You could replace Sonic with Silver right now in Sonic Frontiers & the game would be just as good.
Silver is unique in his own way. Silver has telekinesis which allows him to control objects & living things with solely his hands & has the ability to float & levitate. Of course, his design is great too.
Silver seems on the backburner & Sega hasn't put much effort into him. Hopefully, Sega realizes what they have in Silver The Hedgehog.
