Greetings to all music lovers who bring #music to life. Since it's Tuesday, I'm taking advantage of @ablaze's initiative, where we each recommend good music to one another. For today, I've chosen special songs that relate to a common theme: the Final Fantasy video game.
Yo no soy fan de este videojuego, la verdad es que nunca lo he jugado, pero desearía poder hacerlo. Me da la impresión de que tiene una grandiosa historia como la que ofrece Kingdom Hearts.
Lo sé, no puedo comparar peras con manzanas, pero lo que quiero decir con esto es que aunque no he jugado ninguno de estos grandiosos videojuegos, sí he escuchado sus canciones y he visto sus escenas cinematográficas, toda una novela se refleja en ellos.
Así que no pude evitar querer armar mi #ttt de mis tres canciones favoritas de Final Fantasy más un extra que sí o sí debía agregarlo. Empezaré por la que menos me gusta y dejaré de última la que encabeza mi lista.
I'm not exactly a fan of this video game; in fact, I've never played it, but I wish I could. I get the impression it has a fantastic story, like Kingdom Hearts.
I know, I can't really compare apples and oranges, but what I mean is that even though I haven't played either of these amazing games, I have listened to their songs and watched their cutscenes—they tell a whole novel.
So I couldn't resist putting together my #ttt list of my three favorite Final Fantasy songs, plus a bonus one that I absolutely had to include. I'll start with my least favorite and leave my top pick for last.
Mi primera canción para este #ttt debe ser esta. Una canción interpretada por la protagonista del juego que denota mucha pasión, amor y dolor, no sólo en su interpretación sino también en la letra. Cuando la escuché por primera vez, quedé maravillada con su cinematografía.
My first song for this #ttt has to be this one. A song performed by the game's protagonist that conveys so much passion, love, and pain, not only in her performance but also in the lyrics. When I first heard it, I was blown away by its cinematography.
Esta canción es muy especial para mí, fue la primera que escuché hace muchos años, me pasaron el video y quedé encantada con la historia de amor que aquí se cuenta. Fue esta canción que me dio a conocer Final Fantasy y desde entonces lo he querido jugar, pero hasta hoy no he podido hacerlo. Y ya perdí la cuenta de cuántas veces he escuchado esta canción.
This song is very special to me; it was the first one I ever heard, many years ago. Someone sent me the video, and I was captivated by the love story it tells. It was this song that introduced me to Final Fantasy, and ever since, I've wanted to play it, but I haven't been able to until now. And I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this song.
Por último pero no menos importante, si no la mejor de todas, esta canción la escuché por primera vez meses después de haber escuchado Eyes on Me y debo decir que si la anterior me gustó demasiado, esta me encantó. Derritió mi corazón con tanto drama, amor y melancolía mostrados en un video que se consolidaba al compás de instrumentos tradicionales japoneses.
—Last but certainly not least, and perhaps the best of all —I first heard this song months after listening to "Eyes on Me," and I must say that if I liked the previous one a lot, this one I absolutely loved. It melted my heart with so much drama, love, and melancholy shown in a video that unfolded to the rhythm of traditional Japanese instruments.
De esta canción me gustó su letra, pero la verdad no había visto su cinematografía. Al buscarla por YouTube quedé enamorada de ver a tantos personajes conocidos de este videojuego jejeje.
I liked the lyrics of this song, but I hadn't actually seen the video game's animation. When I looked it up on YouTube, I fell in love with seeing so many familiar characters from the video game, hehe.
