Greetings, everyone!

One of the basic things that made me believe that as a child, and I later found out that was not true, was that eating seeds would make a plant grow inside my stomach. My parents would keep on saying this whenever I chewed a guava fruit, and then I would be scared of my life and I would imagine how the guava seed would grow a tree in my stomach. As seedy as guava is, I will chew this guava freely without swallowing the seed. At times, before I chew it all, I must check if there are plenty of seeds; if there are, I would throw it away.

What is something you believed as a child that you later found out was not true?

Kai, my parents. As I grew older, my understanding of the whole of this became stronger, and I would think that people would just be creating imaginative images in people's minds just to scare them.

My siblings and I were so scared at that time. There was a time I swallowed a guava seed, and I sat down and told myself that I wanted to see it grow out of my stomach. The first day passed, and I slept and woke up. The second day and the whole week passed, and I didn't see anything. What I saw was that whenever I went to the restroom to defecate, I would see guava seeds flushed down to the soak away. I will laugh ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

One day, I called my parents and said to them, Dad and Mum, all these things that you told me about are not true oooo. I have been swallowing this seed but it has not grown ooo.

And they laughed too. Since then, I have been swallowing seeds of guavas anyhow, after all, I will defecate them out. It can't grow any longer. It has been thwarted.

This is my response to the ladiesofhive contest #300
