2️⃣ Summer, dry season, wet season, or fall — what is your favorite thing about the current season in your country and/or the thing you dislike the most about it?

My favorite season is the dry season, and the thing I love most about it is the sunlight. It dries my clothes very well, especially here in Northern Nigeria. When I was in Akwa Ibom, I did not really experience much sunshine until I came to the North.
The dry season in the North is quite intense and comes with extreme heat, which can make you feel uncomfortable, especially at night when you want to sleep. Unless there is NEPA electricity to power a ceiling fan or standing fan, sleeping can be difficult because of the heat.
Another thing I enjoy about the dry season is the freedom of movement. You can go anywhere without worrying about rain soaking your clothes or disrupting your plans.
The dry season is also ideal for drying food items such as fish and grains, especially for people who want to send them by waybill or travel long distances. Dried items last longer and are less likely to spoil during transportation.
It is also the best season for celebrations. In fact, I would love to have my marriage ceremony during the dry season so that I can fully enjoy every moment with my husband and all my loved ones who will be present.
I love the dry season so much because most activities carried out during this period often produce satisfying and tangible results. Market women can also sell their products more easily and with greater satisfaction. While some goods may still spoil, it is generally less challenging than during the rainy season.
I recently returned from Benue State, where it rained continuously for several days and the weather was quite cold. The weather affected my health, and I became ill. However, I thank God that I am now feeling much better, healthier, and stronger.
