Greetings, everyone!
I had to quickly respond to this very question because there is a need to do that before I rush somewhere this morning.

What was your dream job as a kid -versus- what job do you have today?
Every child has their own dream job when they were very young and I can tell not all of them landed in that dream job they had in mind.
I always like to teach very well right from a child, each time we return from school, you would see on the board teaching my siblings or chairs, what has been taught in the classroom. If I don't see chairs, 8 would teach the kitchen pillars that have been structured into four places, and I would use them as my students, explaining things to them.
This is hilarious. You know when my mother packed us to the farm, instead of me weeding or planting cassava, I would end up teaching the cassava stems, with a stick in my hand, beating them if they didn't answer my question ๐.
As I grew and I left the village, things changed. I am now a writer. I didn't envision myself as a writer, right when I was in the village. I always wanted to be a teacher. So here am I on Hive Blockchain, writing and sharing my thoughts.
Ask me, if I knew how to write? I didn't know anything about writing. My pastor taught me how to write constructively. Even after I graduated from the University, I kept on writing, and from what I earned from this platform, I bought the items I used for my NYSC. God is wonderful.
When I came for my service as a Corps member, I saw myself as an administrative officer in NCCF and at my PPA. In mind, what's going on? I wanted them to give me teaching so I can become a professional at it, but it didn't work as planned. I ended up in administrative officer. From there, my passion for teaching drifted. I prayed to God, let your will be done.
So today, I am a writer, administrative officer and I'm willing and open to teach as well.
I learned that as a child, you might not end up with your dream job, and there might be changes, and it will be for your own good, and it will help you to be focused and concentrated on one thing.
