Tough hurdle

The Belgian Cats, the female national basketball team are the reigning European champions. But of course they want renew their title.

After convincing wins against Montenegro, Czech Republic and Germany, Italy was waiting in the semifinals. Belgium played very well up until the 4th quarter, and then they gave away a 14 point lead to Italy. Italy even was in front at 2 and a half minutes from the end.

But then came the Belgian fighting spirit, with true power play they overpowered Italy and placed themselves for the final against Spain, that beat the other favourites, France! Sunday will be interesting!
