Konstantin Stroekov

Konstantin Stroekov is a Russian billionaire that got hid wealth from gold mining and manufacturing. His company is called Uzhuralzoloto (UGC), and is under scrutiny as Russian authorities claim he has attained his stocks in UGC in an unfair fashion. The authorities want the Russian government to be the biggest stock holder in UGC.

Stroekov took his Bombardier airplane and tried to fly to Turkey. But he was held at the airport, investigated and detained.

Other Russian billionaires fear the same treatment and fear their wealth will be “stolen” by the government. This wouldn’t be a first and definitely won’t be a last!
