5 HBD per month

Any content creator on the Hive blockchain can now put his content behind a paywall. A paywall of 5 HBD per month to be exact. It is something refreshing for this blockchain of which I am not yet sure what the impact will be. Hopefully it won’t create different classes on this chain. One where people that can afford see the interesting stuff and the others see the rest. But I don’t think so…

The project is still in its early phase, and for now only threads and long form content can be put behind the subscription. Shorts isn’t possible yet. Still, if you think about it, a flat price of 5 HBD is somewhat incorrect for all subscriptions. Because some creators have better content than others, and post more… Some may be worth only 1 HBD, some 25 HBD per month. So that needs some tweaking, definitely.

I am testing it

People can subscribe to my content too. I want to test it. I don’t have any subscribers yet, but if I get some, I will try to give them their money’s worth of content. In all possible ways. Of course I will also keep posting free content, as that should still be the biggest amount of the content.
If I don’t like it, I will stop with the paywall the next month.

Who?

The last and most difficult question is, who do you subscribe to? Because I don’t have 100 HBD to spare per month, so you have to be selective. That may be the bottleneck of this project.
